Yesterday, we welcomed our first-year RRIS parents to campus for our Parents Welcome Reception! They heard from Jonathan Davis, Head of the RRIS and Vice President for External Relations, and had the chance to connect with our community.

We’re so proud and happy to welcome them to the RRIS. We look forward to sharing this exciting journey with our students and their families! 💙

ORIENTATION DAY ONE! ✅🥰

What a way to kick off the year! 🎉

Over 600 new students from 90+ countries joined us for an amazing first day at the RRIS. We’re so excited to welcome all of our new students into the RRIS family and officially start this new chapter together!

Later, at our Opening Ceremony, students were welcomed by Reichman University President Prof. Boaz Ganor, Deputy Mayor of Herzliya Galila Yavin, and Jonathan Davis, Vice President for External Relations and Head of the RRIS. The ceremony also featured a beautiful performance of Stand By Me by 3rd-year Communications student Naama Teitel.

In the evening, we welcomed our first-year parents to campus for a Parents Welcome Reception, where they heard from Jonathan Davis, Head of the RRIS and VP of Reichman University for External Relations.

Here’s to new friends, new experiences, and so many memories to come! ✨💙

🌟 Meet the Coordinator: Bar Ben Kohal 🌟

“Hi! I’m Bar, a third-year Law and Government student at Reichman University, enrolled in the direct track to a master’s degree. Originally from Meitar and now living in Tel Aviv, I served for five years in the IDF as a Human Resources Officer and currently serve as a Captain (Res.) in the reserves. I also spent a year as a Jewish Agency emissary in South Africa, an experience that deepened my passion for leadership and cross-cultural engagement.

Alongside my studies, I coordinate the Diller Teen Fellows leadership program, a partnership between the Jewish Agency and the Shoham Cape Town communities. I previously coordinated the Tevel program at StandWithUs, and last year I was an RRIS peer counselor before returning this year as the mentorship program coordinator.

At Reichman, I’ve been involved in the School of Government Honors Program, a legal clinic, and the StandWithUs Fellowship, all of which have strengthened my passion for law, public policy, and social impact. I’m excited for the year ahead and looking forward to meeting, learning from, and growing together with everyone!”

🌟 Meet the Coordinator: Joey Silbershatz 🌟

“Hey everyone! 👋

My name is Joey Silbershatz, I’m 27, and I’m a third-year Business, Economics, and Accounting student here at Reichman University.

Before coming to campus, I spent five years in the IDF Navy, first serving on a naval ship and later as a Communications Operations Officer.

Since arriving at Reichman, I’ve loved being deeply involved in campus life, whether serving as a class rep for two years, managing the SLENG language exchange club, or working as the Student Union’s CFO and Vice Chairperson.

When I’m not on campus, you’ll usually find me running, snowboarding, hanging out with friends or family, traveling, watching glaciers or whales, and hiking.

I’m genuinely thrilled to be one of your RRIS Orientation Week Peer Counselors and a Coordinator this year. Meeting people from all across the globe is one of my favorite parts of university life, and I can’t wait to accompany you through your very first steps!
