IMPH Braun School of Public Health & Community Medicine, Hebrew University The first and largest school of public health in Israel, the Braun School of Public Health and Community Medicine at Hebrew University-Hadassah. Pamela Malka

As the first and largest school of public health in Israel, the Braun School of Public Health and Community Medicine at Hebrew University-Hadassah has 50 years of experience in training public health professionals from Israel and from 90 countries across the globe. Our International MPH degree has been awarded to more than 750 graduates from developing and transition regions as well as developed c

ountries of North America and Western Europe. The International Master of Public Health (IMPH) Program offers a scientifically stimulating and culturally rewarding experience of studying in a foreign country and interacting with peers from different professional and cultural backgrounds, in the unique setting of Jerusalem. The 12-month English-language IMPH Program provides its trainees with tools for examining public health problems and formulating relevant responses at the institutional, community and national level. We help our students develop knowledge and skills in a broad range of public health disciplines, thus preparing them to take up key positions as leaders and teachers in their home countries, in areas such as HIV, malaria and tuberculosis prevention and control, prevention and treatment of heart disease, diabetes and other non-communicable diseases, combating malnutrition and tobacco use, and fighting the stigma associated with mental illness. The IMPH Program also offers a wide range of social and cultural activities that serve to bond and integrate the students and introduce them to the historical and modern host country of Israel. The IMPH student body comprises physicians, nurses, other health professionals, economists and those interested in public health from other disciplines. Our graduates return home at the completion of their training to occupy key positions in the health care systems of their communities and countries. Program director: Prof. Ora Paltiel
Program secretary: Ms.

✨ Meet Albert Leonard Dikoume Ndoumbe ✨

Albert is a medical doctor and public health professional from Cameroon with extensive experience in humanitarian and resource-limited settings.

Before joining the IMPH, Albert served as an Assistant Medical Coordinator with ALIMA, supporting health and nutrition programs across Cameroon. His work focused on emergency response, maternal and child health, disease surveillance, and strengthening health systems in conflict-affected and underserved communities. 🏥📊

Working in Makary, Mokolo, and Cameroon’s North-West and South-West regions, Albert witnessed firsthand the challenges of healthcare delivery in fragile settings. These experiences fueled his commitment to public health leadership and evidence-based solutions that expand access to quality care. 🌱

At the Braun School of Public Health, Albert is strengthening his expertise in epidemiology, health policy, and program evaluation to help build more resilient and equitable health systems around the world. 🌍📚

💬 "I believe that strong international collaboration and learning from diverse perspectives are essential for developing innovative, inclusive, and sustainable solutions to public health challenges."

We're proud to have Albert as part of the IMPH community! 💙

📸 Highlights from yesterday, Day 1 of the 2026 IMPH Alumni West Africa Regional Conference ✨

What an inspiring start to the conference in Abuja!

We were honored to open the gathering with distinguished guests, alumni, faculty, and partners committed to advancing public health across the region.

We heard presentations from who do incredible public health work across many sectors.

A special highlight was the remarks delivered by H.E. Michael Freeman, Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria, who emphasized the power of international collaboration and the importance of strengthening local health systems. He also reflected on how the equips professionals from LMICs with the knowledge and skills they need to return home and build stronger, more resilient, and sustainable health systems in their own countries.
