A JUC alumna and longtime field instructor, Dr. McClain now serves as the Shapiro Chair for Jewish-Christian Studies and Associate Professor of Theology at Greenville University.

What can archaeology, geography, and the world of the ancient Near East reveal about the Bible?

Dr. John Monson has spent his career exploring that question. A JUC alumnus who grew up in Jerusalem, he brings together Scripture, archaeology, geography, and historical context to help us better understand the biblical world. Today, as president of **Biblical Backgrounds, Inc.**, he continues that work by equipping the church to read Scripture through the lens of its land and context.

Ancient Egypt and the Bible | December 6–17
Travel through the Sinai, Upper Egypt, and Lower Egypt, exploring the history and culture of ancient Egypt and its connections to the biblical world. Visit the Giza Pyramids, Grand Egyptian Museum, Luxor, Aswan, Mt. Sinai, and more.

The Life and Times of Paul | December 5–13
Follow Paul’s journeys through Greece as you explore Philippi, Thessaloniki, Berea, Corinth, Athens, Delphi, Meteora, and more.
