המחלקה לארכיטקטורה בבצלאל פועלת כפלטפורמה לחדשנות ויצירתיות בעשייה ומחקר. היא רואה את עצמה כבית ספר אינטגרטיבי, רב-שכבתי ורב-תחומי שמעמיק את הדיסציפלינה של העשייה הארכיטקטונית ובו-זמנית מרחיב את שדה הפעילות של האדריכל.ית במאה ה-21 כמעצב, מתכננת, חוקר, אוצרת, כוריאוגרף, פוליטיקאית ועוד. לשם כך, בית הספר מקדם לימוד, מחקר יישומי, יצירה מקורית, דיון ביקורתי ומעורבות אקטיבית במגוון נושאים הכוללים שוויו

ן חברתי, שינויי אקלים, המרחב האורבני, טכנולוגיות חדשות, בינה מלאכותית ועוד.

המחלקה פועלת בשיח הציבורי בישראל ובעולם כמרחב לדיון פתוח, ביקורתי וחדשני שמשפיע על התרבות המקצועית ועל הדיון הציבורי בישראל, הקשורים לתפקידה של הדיסציפלינה בבניית המרחב הבנוי והפתוח בישראל ובעולם. מחויבות ספציפית זו לתרבות, לחברה ולפוליטיקה הישראלית והעולמית הינה המקור לקשרי עבודה ושיח עם גורמים אקדמיים ומקצועיים ברחבי העולם ובישראל.

המחלקה מכשירה אנשי מקצוע מיומנים ומעודכנים השולטים בכל האספקטים התיאורטיים, הטכנולוגיים והמעשיים של המקצוע והדיסציפלינה הארכיטקטונית ויכולים בסיום לימודיהם להשתלב בכל סביבה מקצועית ואקדמית מתקדמת בארץ ובעולם. בוגרות המחלקה ובוגריה משתלבים במשרדי אדריכלות מובילים בארץ ובעולם, בתפקידים במגזר הציבורי, עוסקים בכתיבה ובעיתונות, בהוראה, במחקר אקדמי, באוצרות ועוד.

המחלקה מעודדת רמת מודעות גבוהה בשאיפה לגדל דור חדש וערני של ארכיטקטים.ות אינטלקטואלים.ות – בוגרים ובוגרות בעלי רגישות חברתית גבוהה, השכלה הומניסטית רחבה, אנשי תרבות ואמנות מקוריים ויצרניים, אזרחיות מעורבות בחיים הפוליטיים והחברתיים, מתכננים השואפים להגדיר מחדש את תחומי הידע והאחריות של הארכיטקטים בסביבה הגלובלית המשתנה של המאה ה-21.

מערך הלימודים מכוּון לתפיסה אינטגרטיבית של תיאוריה ופרקטיקה המשלבת מגוון קורסים תיאורטיים כגון היסטוריה ותיאוריה של רעיונות וחומרים, מדעי החברה והסביבה עם כלים מעשיים כמו שפות האמנות והעיצוב, מיומנויות רישום, שרטוט ובנייה, לימודי טכנולוגיה, ומעל לכל – ה"סטודיו" שבמסגרתו מתרגלים הסטודנטים בעיות תכנון ועיצוב בהקשרים ובממדים שונים. בנוסף לתכנית הלימודים הרגילה, המחלקה מקיימת מגוון רחב של פעילויות אקס-קוריקולריות הכוללות: סדרת הרצאות אורח של ארכיטקטים, חוקרים ויוצרים מתחומים אחרים בארץ ובעולם, סדנאות וכיתות-אמן של מרצים אורחים מחו”ל, פרויקטים משותפים עם אוניברסיטאות מקבילות בחו”ל, קורסים והשתלמויות בשיתוף עם גופים ציבוריים, תערוכות, כנסים וימי עיון ביוזמת מורי המחלקה והסטודנטים.

Studio 7, Bachelor in Architecture,
led by arch, Ran Gross and arch ,Ilana Rodeshevsky,

explores a compelling visual journey through the open and often overlooked spaces of the Negev Desert. Through photography and spatial research, the studio documents “ex-territorial” landscapes and the communities that inhabit them- places frequently perceived as empty or marginal, yet rich in human presence, layered histories, and uncertain futures that challenge conventional ideas of territory, belonging, and visibility.

Our work was presented last month at the 5th Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism in Seoul, South-Korea. “More than one Language,” a unique collaboration of DYCP, Muslala, the School of Architecture at Bezalel Academy and Jerusalem urban design center, adheres to the unique skin of the brutalist Klal Building in Jerusalem, and to the wondrous humane regeneration and healing processes occurring in and on the building over the past decade.

More than one Language: Jerusalem’s installation in the Cities Exhibition at the 5th Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism, done in a unique collaboration of DYCP, Muslala, the School of Architecture at Bezalel Academy and Jerusalem urban design centre, adheres to the unique skin of the Klal Building and to the wondrous humane regeneration and healing processes occurring in and on the building over the past decade.
