Subsidiary company of Halamit, and it runs by the same owners. Halamit Leibovich workshop was founded by Bella and Berl, both holocaust survivors. Berl’s specialty was metal casting and coating of which he was highly educated, graduated in Romania at the university. Berl’s unspeaka
ble knowledge and experience of this area paved his and his family’s “life” penalty by the Nazis who took much advantage of his skills. In 1951 Berl and Bella made “Aliyya” and settled in Israel, where Berl was the first and only person to coat and cast metals. Berl was also the first teacher of this subject. Bella and Berl had an only child “Josef” whom at a very early stage in his life took over the workshop, studied the area of metals and expanded his studies in Spain. A few years later Josef married his beloved wife “Sarah” who became one of the managers as well. In the course of their mutual management they have evolved into one of the greatest and best manufacturers of olivewood and metal Christian and Jewish souvenirs and relics. Since then Sarah and the daughter Lilach (who’s the third generation in the workshop) manage it together. Today after 50 fruitful and successful years of manufacturing the most highly qualified products made of olivewood from the Galilee and metals Sarah and Lilach are still conducting Halamit workshop. Halamit has won a brand name with unspeakable reputation exporting its products worldwide for the Christian and Jewish populations.
