The universe is full of galaxies we’ve never seen before, and sometimes, it takes one determined student to help uncover them.
At Tel Aviv University, physics master’s student Daniel Pakula developed an automated system using the telescope to detect faint dwarf galaxies that have gone unnoticed in previous surveys.
By combining astrophysics, technology, and curiosity, Daniel is helping scientists map hidden structures of the universe and deepen our understanding of dark matter, galaxy formation, and the cosmos itself.
“Science tries to predict what things actually look like in reality, and that fascinated me.”
Turns out, the universe is full of undiscovered mysteries —and Daniel is helping us uncover them.
