Interested in building a greener tomorrow? 🌍
The New Environmental School TAU was established to meet a growing global need - not just for environmental knowledge, but for leaders who can apply it across disciplines and sectors.
As part of this vision, Tel Aviv University’s one-year, English-taught MA in Environmental Studies equips students with the tools to turn ideas into action.
Built on a truly interdisciplinary foundation, the program brings together two leading academic forces on campus- the School of Social and Policy Studies and the New Environmental School. By integrating science, policy, economics, and the humanities, it equips students to tackle today’s most urgent environmental challenges and translate academic insight into real-world impact across government, industry, and society.
Students can tailor their studies through three specialization tracks:
• Environmental Entrepreneurship & Management
• Sustainable Development
• Climate Change Policy
Noga Kronfeld-Schor, Rector and founder of the New Environmental School at Tel Aviv University said, “Environmental challenges aren’t just scientific problems - they’re human systems problems. You can have the best scientific solutions to climate change or water scarcity, but without effective policy, economic incentives, and entrepreneurial thinking to scale them, real change won’t happen. This program reflects that reality by training students to move from knowledge to implementation, bridging research, governance, and real-world impact.”
