Team Drutha

Team Drutha "Anybody can make a toaster toast. Very few people can make a toaster something you covet." Drutha belongs to that generation of budding engineers .

Team Drutha was initially formed in the year 2010 by a group of B.Tech students of College of Engineering Adoor,a government engineering college run by the IHRD.It's purpose was to compete in the SUPRA SAE 2011 racing competition organised by SAE INDIA and MARUTI.But bad luck it was to say,the team only managed to participate in the virtual event. The students of the college took it as a matter of

pride and prestige and decided to come back all the more stronger the coming year.This led to the coming together of a new group of students,without the barriers of senior junior status,and hence Team Drutha was reconstituted under a new captain,Akhil CV.The team has successfully passed the Virtual Event for the 2012 competition.The team members are now working for the main event. The SUPRA SAEINDIA 2012 is a forthcoming competition which presents the Under Graduate & Post Graduate Engineering Students the task of designing , modeling and fabricating a formula type racing car. The project fuels the exuberance of the youth by providing teams a platform to test their mettle, giving them a pragmatic exposure to real world challenges as faced in the industry. Students realize their talent through such an experience, making them proven candidates for the future as technocrats, entrepreneurs, designers, innovators and leaders. Teams are only permitted to use Maruti 800cc BS 3 engine and power train assemblies, provided by Maruti Udyog Ltd. A Team typically spends little over twelve months in designing, building, testing, and preparing their vehicles before competition.
