The Department of Physics, ICFAI University Tripura organized a three-day National Conference titled, Advances in Materials Science and Technology (AMST 2026) from 1st to 3rd June, 2026.
The conference brought together experts and researchers from premier institutions including NIT Agartala, NIT Warangal, IIT Guwahati, IIT (BHU) Varanasi, IIT Hyderabad, Jawaharlal Nehru University, and Tripura University, providing an excellent platform for research and innovation in the field of Material Science and Technology.

The Department of Physics, The ICFAI University Tripura, is delighted to share that Dr. Dipayan Chattopadhyay, Assistant Professor, has published a single-authored research article entitled:

"Machine learningโ€“based estimation of electron screening potential in the โนBe(p, ฮฑ)โถLi reaction"

in the prestigious journal Nuclear Physics A (SCIE Indexed, Impact Factor: 2.4).

Their work explores the possibility of new leptophilic gauge bosonsโ€”hypothetical mediators of interactions beyond the Standard Model that may provide a bridge to new physics, including dark matter. By investigating precision measurements of Standard Model decay processes, the study establishes some of the strongest exclusion limits to date for heavy leptophilic gauge bosons in the multi-TeV mass range.
