The Ahmedabad Alumni Entrepreneurs Meet brought together a vibrant community of alumni, industry professionals, faculty, and students for an evening of dialogue and connection.

At the heart of the event was the Ahmedabad Alumni Industry Dialogue on *“Fintech Revolution: Reimagining Finance, Careers & the Future of Work,”* where conversations moved beyond trends to explore how technology is reshaping finance and the skills needed to navigate this shift.

With 60+ attendees, the evening created a space where academic perspectives met real-world experience — followed by meaningful interactions and networking over high tea.

“Every achievement begins with the courage to pursue an idea and the commitment to see it through.”

We are proud to celebrate a remarkable milestone in the journey of our alumni, Hasti Modi, on the publication of her book.

A Gold Medalist from Ahmedabad University’s BBA Class of 2020 and Student of the Year 2020, Hasti has continued to chart an inspiring path —from serving as President of the LSE Student Union India Forum (2021–22), being named a Diana Awardee (2022), an Earth Day Network Rising Star (2023), and an Observer in the Italian Youth Delegation to the G7 Summit (2024). Her sustained commitment to social and environmental impact, reflected through tree plantation initiatives in London and Rome, now finds a new expression in her work as an author.

We congratulate Hasti on this proud accomplishment and look forward to the many chapters she will continue to write.

When women lead, they redefine what leadership looks like.

LeadHERship Circle was a celebration of women in leadership — honouring resilience, vision, and the strength found in shared experiences. Rooted in the spirit of empowerment and collective growth, the initiative highlighted the importance of creating spaces where women can inspire, support, and learn from one another.

A powerful reminder that leadership flourishes when women are empowered to lead with confidence and conviction.

LeadHERship Circle was a celebration of resilience, leadership, and enterprise.

The event brought together inspiring voices —Sanjukta Sinha, Artistic Director at Sanjukta Sinha Dance Company; Heena Dave Vice President of SEWA; Ruzan Khambatta, Founder of Wajra O’ Force Empowerment Foundation and Shohini Ghosh, Chief of Staff at Ahmedabad University — who shared candid reflections on their journeys, challenges, and the power of women supporting women. With 75+ attendees, including alumni, faculty, students and industry specialists, the room was filled with energy and insight.

This was followed by and exhibition showcasing 10 women-led businesses, turning the conversations into visible impact.

A truly inspiring and successful initiative — and a proud moment for our community.

It was a pleasure to welcome Rustom Dalal from Ahmedabad University’s first graduating batch (2012), back to the "Vibrant and Lively AU campus", as he lovingly recalls it, for a morning of conversations and reflection.

Revisiting familiar spaces and reconnecting with faculty, he noted that seeing recent student initiatives and campus life once again “makes you realise how far along the University has come” — from expanded counselling support and mandatory sports credits to strengthened efforts towards educational inclusivity through scholarships.

Even as the campus, curricula, and educational landscape continue to evolve, the enduring warmth of the faculty remains a familiar touchstone — offering our alumni a moment to step back into a shared past while appreciating the University’s present journey.

This edition featured 10 dynamic ventures, 7 of them led by our alumni, spanning diverse industries and sectors — each bringing unique ideas, bold experiments, and inspiring journeys to the stage.

The event saw 120+ participants, including students, faculty, industry professionals, and fellow startup founders, all coming together to share curiosity, insights, and energy.

As we welcomed the Class of 2029 to Ahmedabad University, our alumni returned not just as mentors, but as vibrant contributors to campus life — bringing with them stories, energy, and a sense of continuity that made the orientation week truly special.

Siddhant Adatia, BBA’21, was recently invited by Professor Mahendra Singh Rao as an Industry Expert to deliver a session on ‘Perspectives on Retail Sector’. During the lecture, Siddhant covered a wide range of crucial topics, including current trends, technology and future of retail.

Siddhant provided the students with insights on the shift towards e-commerce, omnichannel strategies, and the growing influence of digital platforms, the changing expectations of modern consumers and how retailers are adapting to meet these demands, the importance of efficient supply chains, especially in light of recent global disruptions, the role of AI, data analytics, and automation in transforming retail operations. The lecture not only broadened our students’ understanding of the retail sector but also provided valuable real-world insights, leaving them inspired and well-equipped to navigate the future of the retail industry.

Siddhant is a Franchise Owner of Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd for over five years now. As a passionate entrepreneur and franchisee, he specialises in operating and managing multiple franchise businesses, including the premium luxury brand Van Heusen. With a deep understanding of retail operations, Siddhant focuses on creating exceptional customer experiences while driving growth and innovation within franchise systems.
