📢 Know Your Rights, Raise Your Voice | New LJ Commerce College

Building a safe, respectful and inclusive campus — one conversation at a time. 🤝

New LJ Commerce College, in association with the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) and the Collegiate Women Development Cell (CWDC), organised a POSH Awareness Session on 13th August 2026 at the LJ Architecture Auditorium.

Our expert speaker, Dr. Neha Shah (Associate Professor, LJ Institute of Management Studies, and Member – CWDC & ICC), walked students and faculty through the essence of the POSH Act, 2013 — covering what truly counts as harassment, common myths vs. realities around consent, and the complaint redressal process available to every student.

Students walked away with an important lesson: consent has to be clear and voluntary — never assumed from silence, a smile, or what someone wears, and it doesn’t carry over just because two people are dating or connected online. Just as importantly, they learned that reporting harassment isn’t a burden to carry alone — it’s a right, backed by a fair, confidential process every student can access through the ICC.

The session was a powerful reminder that a safe campus isn’t just a policy — it’s a shared responsibility.

✅ Be Aware

✅ Be Respectful

✅ Be Responsible

✅ Be Supportive

A big thank you to our ICC members, Dr. Stuti Dholakia & Dr. Mayuri Thakar, and our CWDC members, Dr. Mruga Joshi & Dr. Avani Vyas, for leading this important initiative. 💙

Speak Up. Support Others. Create Change. 🌸
