Faculty Achievement – Book Publication
.

We are pleased to share that our Faculty Dr. Riddhi Dave, Professor at SomLalit Institute of Management Studies has authored a book titled Hands on Data Analysis with PYTHON (A USER-MANAGER PERSPECTIVE), published by Vikas Publishing House, a reputed academic publisher.
.

Python has emerged as a powerful open-source tool for data analysis and visualization. However, for many non-programmers, the very mention of Python can seem intimidating. While managers and decision-makers increasingly recognise the importance of data-driven decision-making, many feel that data analysis and visualization are beyond their reach because they do not have a programming background.
.

The book: Hands on Data Analysis with PYTHON (A USER-MANAGER PERSPECTIVE) seeks to bridge this gap by making Python-based data analysis more accessible to managers, leaders, and other non-programming professionals. The book introduces readers to the practical use of Python's prominent libraries and their built-in functions for analysing and visualising data, without requiring them to become programmers.
.

Using real-life illustrations and practical situations faced by managers and decision-makers, the book focuses on understanding and application rather than memorisation of code. It aims to help readers develop the confidence to work with data, generate meaningful insights, and use those insights to support better decision-making.
.

We congratulate Dr. Riddhi Dave on this achievement and wish her continued success in her academic and professional endeavours.

✨ Self-Awareness: The First Step Towards Development ✨.
At SLIMS (NBA accredited), We recently had the wonderful opportunity to conduct a session on “Self-Awareness – The First Step Towards Development” on 7th September 2026 for two batches of enthusiastic students. .
The session was designed to go beyond theory and encourage students to understand themselves better through activities and experiential learning..
One of the most interesting discussions was around strengths and weaknesses. Through a simple handwriting activity, students experienced an important lesson: while it is necessary to recognise our weaknesses, we should also consciously invest time and energy in developing our existing strengths..
Because sometimes, real growth is not about becoming good at everything. It is about recognising where we naturally have potential and working towards making that ability exceptional..
Activities such as kite making and balloon bouncing helped students explore different character strengths, including leadership, creativity, curiosity, justice and prudence. It was wonderful to see how different strengths naturally emerged through teamwork, decision-making and problem-solving..
The students have also been encouraged to reflect further through a Character Strengths Survey, helping them understand how they can use their strengths more consciously in their personal, academic and professional lives..
The biggest takeaway from the session was the incredible curiosity, energy and openness shown by both batches of students..
🌱 Know your weaknesses, but don’t let them define you. Discover your strengths, nurture them, and give them the energy they deserve. That is where your real potential may be hiding..

🌟 A Moment of Pride for the SLERF Family! 🌟.
Some journeys make an alma mater especially proud. .
Our alumnus Mr. Anish Nagpal (Batch 2009–11) began his entrepreneurial journey in 2011, and over the years has been involved in building multiple ventures and businesses. Together with Amit Purswani, he has pursued multiple entrepreneurial ventures along this journey. Rey Naturals became the first business they successfully exited completely and was subsequently acquired in 2021, becoming part of the GlobalBees family. Dermatouch represents another significant chapter in this entrepreneurial journey — and the second brand built by them to reach an acquisition milestone. Today, Dermatouch has reached another remarkable milestone with Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting, at an enterprise value of ₹387.5 crore..
From an entrepreneurial journey that began in 2011, building multiple ventures, to successfully exiting Rey Naturals and now scaling Dermatouch to another major milestone, Anish’s journey is a powerful story of entrepreneurship, resilience, vision and perseverance..
For SLERF, this is more than an achievement in the business world. It is the success story of one of our own. ❤️.
Congratulations, Anish and the entire .official team!.
Your journey inspires the entire SLERF family to dream bigger, build boldly and persevere..
