At Anant National University, students have the opportunity to pursue a wide range of minors that encourage interdisciplinary learning and give them the freedom to explore beyond their primary field of study.

Recently, as part of the Entrepreneurship minor, 4th-semester BDes students participated in the theory and studio courses โ€˜Field Research and Validation of the Ideaโ€™ and โ€˜Need Finding and Idea Generationโ€™. These courses provide a broad-based introduction to the research process of identifying a market need for a solution.

6th-semester BTech in Climate Change students at the Anant School for Climate Action (ASCA) recently visited Arbuda Plastochem Pvt Ltd, Chhatral, as part of the Technology and Pollution course, led by Hitesh Patel, Founder of Creative Solution and an expert with over 25 years of experience in wastewater treatment technologies.

The visit introduced students to key concepts in industrial wastewater treatment, including Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) systems.

Students observed these systems in operation and gained practical insights into industrial effluent management and environmental impact mitigation.

Anantโ€™s BTech in Climate Change programme equips our students with skills, knowledge and expertise to create technology-driven solutions to climate change problems both at the local and global levels.

Aarambh Incubation Centre, in collaboration with the Career Services Office, recently hosted an engaging guest talk by Bobby Achettu, Principal, Business Advisory Services and India Operations, Sikich, titled โ€˜Venture Vimarsh: Founder and Expert Seriesโ€™.

The session offered valuable insights into entrepreneurship beyond traditional start-up pathways, emphasising the importance of cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset rooted in ownership, initiative and strategic thinking.

Participants were encouraged to adopt a founder-like approach across career paths, recognising the role of innovation, adaptability and problem-solving as essential skills in diverse professional contexts.

The Week recently featured an authored article by Dr Sunny Bansal, Assistant Dean, School of Architecture, titled โ€˜Designing for sustainability: Bridging architectural education and professional practiceโ€™.

The piece draws from a Symposium on โ€˜Integrating Sustainability into Architecture Education to Transform Professional Practiceโ€™ hosted by the School of Architecture and Centre for Public Policy Research and Design at India Habitat Centre, Delhi. It explored how sustainability can be meaningfully integrated into architecture education, aligned with the National Education Policy 2020 and strengthened through collaboration among academia, policy and industry.

In this article, Dr Bansal highlights a critical gap: while sustainability is widely discussed, its adoption in mainstream construction remains limited due to the disconnect between education and practice.

On the occasion of Earth Day 2026, Anant celebrated the graduation of the second cohort of the Climate Champion Programme, a year-long initiative by the Anant School for Climate Action. The event welcomed Chief Guests Mr Jaideep Bansal, CEO, Global Himalayan Expedition (GHE) Impact Ventures and Mr Tanush Premkumar, CEO, Mushloop (IISc-incubated).

42 students from 21 schools across India participated in the programme, coming together for a day of insightful sessions, engaging addresses and a special felicitation ceremony.

Samrah Mir, a Grade 10 student from Peace School, Budgam, Kashmir, was recognised as the best performer among the graduating cohort.

Anantโ€™s Space Design recently hosted Beyond Studio 1.0, a student-led initiative designed to foster interaction across all batches. What began as a farewell for the final-year (Capstone) students evolved into an engaging and inclusive โ€˜fun dayโ€™ for students and faculty.

The event commenced with a treasure hunt that encouraged cross-batch collaboration and participation, followed by the Capstone Colloquium, where 8th Semester students presented their projects and shared key insights. Led by the graduating cohort, the colloquium created a space for reflection, dialogue and peer learning.

The day concluded with an informal jamming session that brought the community together in a relaxed and celebratory atmosphere, reflecting the spirit of collaboration and camaraderie within the Space Design department.
