Workshop on Innovation Validation: “Converting Innovation into Startup”The Innovation Club of Government Commerce College, Naroda organized a workshop on Innovation Validation titled “Converting Innovation into Startup” on 13th February 2026 under the coordination of Prof. Dipal Patel. A total of 54 students participated with great enthusiasm. The sessions were conducted by two distinguished speakers from the field of Entrepreneurship, who provided valuable insights into validating ideas, understanding market needs, and transforming innovation into l viable startups. The event reflected the strong entrepreneurial spirit of our students through their proactive participation and interactive discussions. We sincerely appreciate the visionary initiative of our respected Principal and commend the dedicated efforts of Prof. Dipal Patel, Innovation Club Coordinator. We also thank all faculty members for their continuous guidance and support in making this workshop a success.

📊 Building Digital Readiness through Skill-Based Learning
Government Commerce College, Naroda organized a One-Day Workshop on Digital Marketing on 21st January 2026 (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM) under the Promotion of Research and Facilities (PRF) Scheme of KCG, with 74 participants including students from other colleges.
The programme was successfully coordinated by Dr. Dipti Arora under the guidance of Principal Dr. P. R. Patel and was graced by Chief Guest Dr. A. S. Prajapati, Principal, Gujarat Commerce College and Guest of Honour Dr. Tekpal Singh Anand, Principal, Harij Government College of Arts & Science and Sami Government Arts & Commerce College. Distinguished speakers Dr. Gautam Bapat (MIT World Peace University, Pune) and the founders of Move Digital Marketing Institute delivered the sessions.
The workshop comprised four well-structured sessions covering:
• Evolution of Marketing – Why Digital
• SEO, Google Ads and Email Marketing
• Social Media Marketing and Content Creation (Hands-on)
• Entrepreneurial Application – Using Digital for Your Own Start-up (Practical)
The event was made possible through the sincere support and cooperation of our faculty members and staff. Breakfast and lunch were arranged for staff and all participants.
The programme concluded with the distribution of certificates to participants.
The success of the workshop stands as a testimony to the guidance of Coordinator Dr. Dipti Arora and the leadership of Principal Dr. P. R. Patel.

Code the Future: Empowering Non-Tech Entrepreneurs with Digital Skills Government Commerce College, Naroda organized a certificate course titled “Code the Future: Course on Website Development and Applied Python for Non-Tech Entrepreneurs” under the Innovation Club to equip students with essential digital and entrepreneurial skills. The course focused on website development, applied Python, and prototype development, with an emphasis on practical, hands-on learning and human-centered problem solving. Participants gained confidence in digital tools, developed functional websites, and explored innovative business ideas. The initiative successfully bridged the gap between technology and entrepreneurship while fostering creativity, technical adaptability, and a problem-solving mindset among non-technical learners. Sincere thanks to Dr. Dipal Patel, Innovation Coordinator, whose guidance and coordination played a key role in the successful ex*****on of the programme.

Faculty Workshop: Advancing Research through AI Government Commerce College, Naroda organized a One-Day Workshop on “Research with AI Assistance” on 22nd January 2026 (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM) under the Promotion of Research and Facilities Scheme, exclusively for faculty members. A total of 74 participants attended the workshop. The workshop comprised four practical and hands-on sessions aimed at strengthening research competencies through Artificial Intelligence:
• Introduction to AI in Research
• Using AI for Data Analysis
• AI for Research Writing & Drafting Research Proposals
• AI in Research Writing & Referencing
The sessions were delivered by Dr. Gautam Bapat and Dr. Gautam Dua. We were privileged to have Chief Guest Dr. Amit Sutaria, Principal, Government Commerce College, Gandhinagar, whose presence enriched the programme. Breakfast and lunch arrangements were made for staff members and faculty participants. Certificates were distributed to all participants at the conclusion of the programme. The workshop was meticulously organized under the guidance of Dr. Heenaba Zala with the constant support and encouragement of Principal Dr. P. R. Patel. The dedicated efforts of teaching and non-teaching staff contributed to the success of the event.

The Khelo India Games, currently underway in Jaipur from 23rd November to 4th December 2025 at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, feature a wide range of sports and provide a national platform for emerging athletes. We are delighted to share that Vraj Patel, a student of Government Commerce College, Naroda, has won the Bronze Medal in the 200m Individual Medley at this prestigious event, representing Gujarat University with remarkable confidence.
This achievement reflects his **strong willpower, consistent practice, and outstanding performance under pressure. Sincere appreciation to Dr. Namrata Acharya, our Physical Education Instructor, for her dedicated guidance. We also thank Principal Dr. P. R. Seven-Day Archery Workshop at Government Commerce College, Naroda As part of Birsa Munda’s 150th Birth Anniversary celebration, our college organised a 7-day Archery Workshop under the aegis of Saptdhara from 13th to 19th November 2025, with 46
students participating enthusiastically. The sessions were led by Ms. Aneri Patel, Senior Coach, Archery Pratibha Academy.
The presence and encouragement of **Principal Dr. P. R. Patel** and our faculty members added great enthusiasm to the workshop, motivating students throughout the training. On the concluding day, students presented an impressive demonstration, showcasing the discipline and techniques they had mastered.

To commemorate Bhagwan Birsa Munda’s 150th Birth Anniversary, Government Commerce College, Naroda organized an **Elocution Competition on 12th November 2025 under Saptdhara.

A total of 15 students participated, presenting inspiring speeches on *Inclusive Development Youth Power in Freedom Struggles, and Tribal Rights in the Constitution.
The event honoured Birsa Munda’s vision of equality and justice while nurturing the students’ confidence and public speaking skills.

A Thalassemia Testing Camp was organized on 9th October 2025 at Government Commerce College, Naroda under the aegis of the NSS Unit. The event was coordinated by Prof. Dharmendra Parmar, with the NSS Unit headed by Dr. Chirag Jiyani, Programme Officer. The testing was conducted by the Indian Red Cross Society, Gujarat State Branch, under the Thalassemia Prevention Programme.
A total of 236 students participated enthusiastically, reaffirming our commitment to health awareness and preventive care. 💉❤️

Government Commerce College, Naroda, in collaboration with SQAC and KCG, successfully organized a
two-day national-level IQAC workshop on “Building Tomorrow’s Institutions Today: IQAC at the
Core” from 19–20 September 2025 at Pragna Puram Auditorium, Ahmedabad. The workshop equipped participants with practical knowledge on NAAC audits, AQAR & SSR preparation, strategic planning, institutional distinctiveness, and quality assurance best practices. Sessions were led by experts Dr. Mona Mehta, Dr. Satyawan Hanegave, Dr. Rachna Sethi, and Dr.
Krutika Desai, offering case studies and interactive discussions.

Faculty Learning & Exposure Visit – 15th & 16th September 2025
Selected faculty members from **Government Commerce College** visited Shri Ram College of
Commerce and Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce on a two-day learning tour under
the Government of Gujarat’s “Learning and Exposure cm Study Tour for Faculties” initiative (2025-26)
The visit provided **hands-on exposure to innovative teaching methods, research-driven approaches,
quality assurance practices, and institutional best practices**. Our faculty explored strategies for
curriculum development, student engagement, and preparation for accreditations like NIRF and NAAC.
3 senior faculty members, along with our Principal, actively participated in this enriching experience,
gaining insights to bring new perspectives and ideas back to our college.
