Happy Engineer’s day in Real sense or not
Flashback:-
I had viewed live session of Parliament Questionnaires’ online at that time. During this session, Our MP Mr. Shashi Tharoor raised a good question of Employment of Engineering .As per report, just 56% Engineers are employable. There is a major gap between Inflow of Number of getting admission in Engineering college students and Converted into Job as per market requirement. Recently Economic slowdown phase is going on in current Indian Economy. Majorly Auto, Electronic sector will affect due to this depression phase. In addition to, monopoly in telecom market leads towards the mass no. of laid off jobs. Next era is artificial intelligence and Automation. Due to this advanced technology, more number of employment is reduced.
Tag is not Important but Talent is important
In schooling days, parents see the vision of their children with open eyes and give deadly efforts to make fulfil it. Mostly, India we noticed that parents choose their children’s career as a showcase purpose of others not children’s capability also area of interest consideration. Mostly our mind set already fix with that Doctor, Engineer, MBA degree holders future well-set and this white color job will give prosperous life. Yes, definitely it is true but before 20years that where inflow of engineers and outflow is balanced. All education degree sold out in market on money basis via self-finance institutes. Most of Students getting admission in engineering easily but they don’t know the value of “Engineering”. How and why is mother of Engineering , We see that Technology courses teaches in institute by lesser skilful tutors. Also poor thing is that most of syllabus mug up basis, practical and advance technology courses not included into the education system. Number game of CPI, SPI buried hungriness of innovation of students. Day by Day picture become worse if we can’t give job creators by institute rather than job seekers. And finally, not getting proper salary basis job as per skill wise (in economics terminology half employment) leads to give up engineering field of students and major no of students entered into government job due to fix the salary and settled life.
Conclusion
Alternative is that, Parents should not continuously pump up to get admission science especially for Er, Dr and then MBA tag. Society needs all types of requirement. Someone can be a good economist by select Economics line and also someone can being a well-known financial advisor, someone can be a good journalist. Ultimately tag is not important, area of interest and by hard work and talent climb a success hill In life is important.
Then in true manner we can Save Engineering and celebrate Happy Engineer’s Day !
