𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝗺. 𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. 𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗼𝘂𝗿.

As part of the Performance-Based Design course, students experimentally studied RCC beams with and without CFRP confinement: from cracking and yielding to ultimate response.

The test helped students understand moment–curvature behaviour, yield moment, ultimate capacity, deformation, and failure mechanisms, and directly compare how CFRP confinement influences structural response.

Terrain-Responsive Road Infrastructure: Planning & Design | Site Visit to Saputara

Beyond the classroom, students from the Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering programme visited Saputara, Gujarat, as part of the Terrain-Responsive Road Infrastructure: Planning & Design studio, gaining firsthand experience in field surveying and soil investigation techniques.

Key Learnings:
- Total Station Survey - topographic data collection and site mapping
- DGPS Survey - high-accuracy positioning and geospatial data collection
- Soil Investigation - understanding soil characteristics, ground conditions, and soil sample collection

The visit helped students connect classroom concepts with real-world site conditions, strengthening their understanding of surveying, geospatial techniques, and site investigation as essential aspects of the built environment.

As part of the academic learning experience, students attended an insightful expert session on “Feasibility Study of Wellness Center” led by Mr. Sasidhar Cherukuri, MD & CEO of Archimedes India Group.

The session explored key aspects of feasibility planning, including understanding user needs, business planning, market and financial analysis, project costs and ROI, and stakeholder management.

The session offered students valuable insights into the practical aspects of project feasibility and decision-making, connecting academic learning with professional practice.
