Adolescent girls in India are constantly denied opportunities to reach their full potential. They face challenges such as forced early marriage, violence at home and in their communities, poor nutrition, early childbearing and lack of access to basic services. There is an urgent need to invest in adolescent girls in order to enhance their capacities and break the inter-generational cycle of poverty.
