The vision of creating more sustainable cities and a low-carbon future drew Purvi Jadav to Ahmedabad University, where she pursued her doctoral research.
As she graduates at the 16th Annual Convocation, Purvi reflects on her journey, during which she explored how Ahmedabad’s residential neighbourhoods can transition toward low-carbon living by 2050. Her research examined how urban form, climate, building typology, construction materials, and occupant behaviour collectively shape electricity consumption across the city’s residential built environment.
Through her work, she proposed strategies and policy recommendations aimed at supporting sustainable urban planning and advancing deep decarbonisation in the residential sector.
Hear Purvi share her key learnings from Ahmedabad University and her aspirations for creating more energy-conscious urban futures. We wish her the very best for the journey ahead and look forward to seeing her research shape more sustainable cities.
