આલ્ફા કોલેજ દ્વારા જીટીયુ ઇન્ટરઝોનલ બોય્સ બોક્સિંગ ટુર્નામેન્ટ હોસ્ટ કરવામાં આવી

તાજેતરમાં જ આલ્ફા કોલેજ ઓફ એન્જીનીયરીંગ એન્ડ ટેક્નોલોજી દ્વારા નિકોલ ખાતે નિકોલ સ્પોર્ટ્સ કોમ્પલેક્સમાં જીટીયુ ઇન્ટરઝોનલ બોક્સિંગ ટુર્નામેન્ટ (બોય્સ) હોસ્ટ કરવામાં આવી હતી. જેમાં આલ્ફા કોલેજ, સિલ્વરઓક કોલેજ, સરદાર વલ્લભભાઈ પટેલ ઇન્સ્ટિટ્યૂટ ઓફનોલોજી, સાલ ઇન્સ્ટિટ્યૂટ, આઇટીએમ યુનિવર્સીટી તથા ગુજરાત પાવર એન્જીનીયરીંગ એન્ડ રિસર્ચ ઇન્સ્ટિટ્યૂટ સહિતનીઓ અનેક જીટીયુ અંતર્ગત કોલેજોએ ભાગ લીધો હતો. આ ટુર્નામેન્ટમાં 46-49 કિલોગ્રામ, 49-52 કિલોગ્રામ, 52-56 કિલોગ્રામ, 56-60 કિલોગ્રામથી લઈને 81-90 કિલોગ્રામ તથા 91 કિલોગ્રામથી વધુ એમ વિવિધ કેટેગરીઝ અંતર્ગત વિદ્યાર્થીઓએ ભાગ લીધો હતો. જેમાં 81-90 કિલોગ્રામ કેટેગરીમાં આલ્ફા કોલેજના વિદ્યાર્થી શ્યામ ભટ્ટે તથા 52-60 કિલોગ્રામ કેટેગરીમાં આલ્ફા કોલેજના જ વિધાર્થી પ્રણય સથવારાએ વિજય પ્રાપ્ત કરી ગોલ્ડ મેડલ મેળવ્યા હતા.આ તમામ વિદ્યાર્થીઓને આલ્ફા કોલેજના ટ્રસ્ટી, પ્રિન્સિપાલ તથા ફેકલ્ટીઝ એ અભિનનદાન પાઠવ્યા હતા.
