To ensure that all females have access to the life saving tools to prevent Cervical cancer, Women Development Cell, Faculty of Management, had organised as expert session on "Awareness on Cervical Cancer" on 7th March ,2024, for all female staff and students. Dr Mitali Vasavada graced occasion and gave her expert opinions about cervical cancer, talked about symptoms and preventions. Dr Mitali Vasavada is MBBS, DGO, MRCOG(UK), DMIS (Germany). She is celebrity gynecologist Endoscopic surgeon, high risk and natural birthing expert She performed over 8000 major and minor procedures in India and Internationally. she is visiting Sr. consultant at Apollo, Shalby and Wings Hospital.

Learning through management quizzing is fun and goes beyond the traditional bounds of management training. Such 'Management Quiz' was organised by Page Turner's Club 📎🖍️,a strategic test of recognising logo, taglines, famous personalities and checking knowledge in current affairs and entrepreneurship. On 2nd March, Faculty of Management, GLS University organised a very insightful workshop on "Tableau", a data analytics software. The session was conducted by Mr. Chintan Trivedi sir who works at Nielsen IQ. Students were made aware with the advanced data visualisation tools like power BI ,tableau and the buzz around it . Session witnessed students participation with keen interest for almost 3 hours. Every nook and cranny of the software was covered and concepts were sharpened. It was the need of the hour to get acquainted with such advance tools.
Sir shared his extensive knowledge with the students .
The learning from the session are sure to benefit all. We look forward to many more such sessions!

Catch Foundation is an Ahmedabad based environmental NGO founded in 2014. The NGO's focus is on creating awareness of cleanliness in the surrounding areas, segregation of dry and wet waste at source, increasing the green landscape in the city, and encouraging people not to use single-use plastic. The industrial visit was planned on 26th Feb and 27th Feb, 2024 for IMBA third year students at Catch Foundation Dense Forest, Motera, Ahmedabad to provide the practical exposure under the domain of Environmental Studies subject.
The visit began with a warm welcome by the organization’s senior CSR Coordinator Mr Satish Rathore who introduced the history and achievements of Catch Foundation. Students were briefed about the ongoing and past projects of the organization. Also, the facts about Miyawaki method of plantation was provided to the students.
After a detailed orientation, students were taken on a guided tour of the dense forest created and maintained by Catch Foundation. The organization. has made significant strides in sustainable development. During the visit, students were briefed on the company's sustainable practices, including plantation, waste management, and the use of eco-friendly materials.
Following the tour, a carbon sequestration workshop was conducted followed by a question & answer session for students to clarify their doubts and seek further information from the organization representatives. This interactive session was highly informative and appreciated by the students. Thus, the industrial visit was an enriching experience for the students. They gained practical knowledge about ensuring sustainability in surroundings. The visit enriched students with exposure to the real-world applications of concepts learned in the classroom.

FOM Organized campus to corporate. MR. Bhavya Mehat a rennowed IMS faculty was invited to conduct a session on sharpening aptitude skills .
Such sessions proves to be beneficial to the students in cracking written exam during campus. Session was attended by more than 250 students. Students throughly enjoyed the students clubbed with lots of learnings.
We are thankful to IMS for facilitating such sessions and look forward for the same in future also.

Imba students had a guest session by Mr. vishal pandey who is the founder of made in ahmedabad on Problems and challenges in the hotel industry. He covered various aapects on various perameters. The hotel industry faces a multitude of problems and challenges, spanning from operational issues to industry-wide trends and external factors.
Navigating these challenges requires strategic planning, innovation, and a customer-centric approach. Hotels that can adapt to changing market dynamics and deliver exceptional guest experiences are more likely to thrive in an increasingly competitive industry landscape.

On January 24, 2024, the GLS Faculty of Management IMBA Semester 4 students embarked on a valuable educational excursion to Divya Bhaskar, a renowned newspaper in Ahmedabad. The visit proved to be an enlightening experience, providing students with valuable insights into the intricate processes involved in newspaper printing and distribution.
The students found the visit to be immensely beneficial as they gained firsthand knowledge of the entire newspaper production cycle. Witnessing the meticulous planning and ex*****on at Divya Bhaskar was particularly enlightening for the students, offering them a profound understanding of the complexities inherent in the media industry.
The engagement with Mr. Yogesh Patel, the Plant Head at Divya Bhaskar, added significant value to the visit. His willingness to share expertise and insights into the industry practices further enriched the students' learning experience. Mr. Patel's guidance not only provided a practical perspective on the newspaper business but also fostered a deeper appreciation for the dedication and precision required in the field.
Moreover, the students were given the opportunity to interact with professionals at Divya Bhaskar, allowing them to ask questions and engage in meaningful discussions. The expert session for Financial Management for the first year PG students of IMBA was organized. Guest Speaker CA Nainesh Pandya, practicing Chartered Accountant shared the practical knowledge on ways to raise funds and the process of raising funds in real life. The session was followed by Questions and Answers. Overall, the session was very informative for the students.
