New Law College, Ahmednagar The Ahmednagar Zilha Maratha Vidya Prasark samaj, a parent institution of our college was founded in the year 1918. R.

It is a pioneer educational institution in the district. Initially the ‘Society�?started a Maratha Boarding for poor students in the name of Late Karveer Hutatma Chhatrapati Chauthe Shivaji Maharaj, who bravely fought against the British Rulers, and was tortured confined and killed in the Fort at Ahmednagar. Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj of Kolhapur donated some amount to the boarding. The founders of

the society were highly motivated and inspired by the teaching of Chatrapati Shahu Maharaj, Mahatma Phule, Maharshi Vitthal Ramaji Shinde, Dr. B. Ambedkar, Karmveer Bhaurao Patil and others.
