Centre for Research on Aquatic Resources The Centre conducts research focusing on aquatic resources of Kerala, with special reference to Kutt D. College, Alleppey, Kerala, India.

Kuttanad, commonly called the "Rice Bowl of Kerala", is a unique place in the world. Here, human effort has created an ecosystem where paddy (rice) is cultivated below sea level. It has been recognized as a Globally Important Heritage Agricultural System by the United Nations.
