Gear up for the next speaker of Renaissance 5.0, Sushil Kumar, the co-founder of LOCO - a real-time mobile quiz show where contestants get a chance to win real money. The app rolled out in early December of 2017 and has since had 15M+ downloads.
Sushil's inclination towards entrepreneurship stemmed right in college and led him to launch LOCO, after having worked for a popular education app Unacademy as an iOS and web developer. Not only did he work as a freelancer during his engineering days, but also gained experience at a startup firm after his graduation from MNNIT Allahabad.
We are proud to welcome one of our alumni who's diligence, passion and creativity bore fruit when he gave us all an amazing live game show app.

The Global Alumni Convention of MNNIT has been scheduled on 16-18th November, in which alumni want to have an interactive breakout session with the students of the institute to help students with their experience. Four sessions have been planned, viz,

Adding another credential to the year, the MNNIT Alumni Convention Ceremony of 2017 witnessed one of the finest weekends when the alumni from the batches 1967, 1971, 1982, 1992 were invited to the meet.
The event started on Saturday, November 11 and the festivity lasted till the Sunday's evening.
Memories were all in the ambience while the feelings of getting together enveloped itself inside the nostalgia. Nothing could lessen the
sentiments of being together once again after such long years.
The formal felicitation programme began at 3pm in the evening. To give an auspicious start to the function the event began with the lightening of the ceremonial lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana. The event purposed to felicitate the past graduates for bringing laurels both to the institution and to their families.
The alumni of the year 1967 the golden jubilee batch, 1971 batch, 1982 the coral batch and 1992 the silver jubilee batch were felicitated by giving them a memento as a token of gratitude and appreciation.
The evening fell melodiously on the alumni when Mona Khare and Maneesh Pawar duet and singles enthralled the audience by their musical performances. And to add glitters to the night there were solo performances from our enthusiastic alumni too.
There was nothing left in the joy and merriment when the students from the bhangra committee twirled around the stage with great zeal and jest. The alumni could refrain themselves from dancing to the tune of the energetic music.
And if by chance there had been some flaw in the programme, it was deliciously eclipsed by the appetizing dinner.
In all the day witnessed one of the greatest euphorias of the year where the emotions were flooding the celebration to the brim for it was the festival of exchanging greetings, it was the celebration to have blue moon's meeting.

Sunday, July 30 witnessed one of the most spectacular events of 2017 when MNNIT Alumni Association felicitated its past 3 years UPSC qualifiers. In order to celebrate the success of their alumni and have a fruitful interaction with the current students of the institution, the Alumni Association in association with MNNIT administration felicitated their rankers of CSE-2014, CSE-2015 and CSE-2016.

The event was illuminated by the presence of the Director Prof. Rajeev Tripathi, Commissioner Dr. Ashish Goyal and the DM of Kushinagar sir Andhra Vamsi.

The program began by Saraswati Vandana, followed by the welcome address by the working president of MNNIT Alumni association, further with the address by the chief guest and the guest of honor. Mementos were given to the aristocratic alumni who made a hall mark in the prestigious UPSC civil service examination as a token of appreciation.

There was less to say, much to discuss. The interactive session began with a brief encouraging and inspiring words from the meritorious students, followed by a large number of questions and doubts by the freshers and the aspiring students of UPSC.
The rankers enlightened their juniors regarding the basic requirement of the exam and the way they should channelize their studies in order to yield according to the current demand of UPSC. They also drew the attention of students towards the fact that they should first complete their engineering with hard-work and dedication.

Out of the serious questions asked by the aspirators, most of them rippled around the same context.
Some of them are:

How should we choose our optional?
How much time should we give to our preparation per day?
Are coachings important for preparation?
What are the benefits of going to Delhi based coachings over Allahabad coaching centers?
What are some of the useful online sites for UPSC preparation?
The role of the newspaper in preparation and how much does it affect our preparation? How to develop interest in newspaper reading?
What are the benefits of having a good handwriting while writing the mains paper?

The audience was taken by the humbleness and simplicity of their seniors while satisfying them with their answers to their questions. In a way, it was the best interactive session MNNITians have witnessed.

The real motive behind writing and pursuing civil service examination should not be the allurance of the amenities and benefits of the post but it should be the desire to work for the nation and its people quoted Aparna Gautam(IPS) during her address. She told that civil services are the platform where you just don’t prove yourself but can be a part of the great change.The art of time management and discipline in life is a key mantra for success.

The program finally concluded with a vote of thanks for appreciating the charismatic presence of the distinguished guests and alumni who made the event a success by their presence.

To the end the whole event purposed to the following lines:

“Only as high as I reach can I grow
Only as far as I seek can I go
Only as deep as I look can I see
Only as much as I dream can I be”
