Principal’s Message

Bharata Mata College hits half a century. A glimpse at the history of higher education in Kerala in the past five decades would lead anyone to locate BMC as institution of predilection. We have tried our best to give our share in the disciplines of arts, science and commerce. Of late, we have introduced Social Work (MSW) and Management (MBA) other than the traditional courses.

As a symbol of our extended service to wider groups of the population, an offshoot of BMC was opened at Choondy, Aluva in 2013 by the name Bharata Mata College of Commerce and Arts. This College is affiliated to the M.G. University and runs Under Graduate programmes such as B.Com. (Computer Applications), B.Com. (Finance & Taxation), B.Com. (Marketing), B.B.A., B.A. (English) and B.C.A. More courses are in the offing.

Bharata Mata College encompasses a great educational culture which is personal, professional, secular, democratic and spiritual. Our new venture at Choondy promises to deliver the most professional personalized training to our students to equip them academically with professional ingenuity and social commitment. This is our offer: we shall give you youth with strong values, dedication and expertise.

രാഷ്ട്ര പിതാവിന്റെ 146 മത് ജന്മദിനമാണ് ലോകമൊട്ടാകെ ഒക്ടോബർ രണ്ടിന് ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നത്. ഗാന്ധിജിയെ മറക്കുകയും, ഗാന്ധിഘാതകരെ പുകഴ് ത്തുകയും ചെയ്യാൻ ചിലർ ശ്രമിക്കുന്നത് മുഴുവൻ രാജ്യസ്നേഹികളെയും വേദനിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഒന്നാണ്. എല്ലാം ത്യജിച്ച്, മാതൃരാജ്യത്തിനു വേണ്ടി, നമ്മുടെ സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യത്തിനു വേണ്ടി ജീവൻ പോലും ബലിയർപ്പിച്ച ഗാന്ധിജിയെ നിന്ദിക്കുന്നത്‌ വലിയൊരു പാപമായിട്ടാണ് ഞാൻ കാണുന്നത്.

ലോകം മുഴുവൻ ഗാന്ധിജിയെ ആരാധിക്കുന്നു, ഒരു പുണ്യ പുരുഷനായി കാണുന്നു. യുണൈറ്റഡ് നേഷൻസ് ഗാന്ധിജയന്തി അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര അഹിംസാ ദിനമായി ആചരിക്കുന്നു. ഇന്ത്യാ രാജ്യത്തിനും, ഏതൊരു ഭാരതീയനും ആത്മവിശ്വാസവും, അഭിമാനവും പകരുന്ന നേതാവാണ്‌ ഗാന്ധിജി. നമ്മുടെ രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ സമ്പത്ത് ഗാന്ധിജിയും ഗാന്ധിസവും ആണ്.

സ്വതന്ത്ര ഇന്ത്യ 68 വർഷം കൊണ്ട് അത്ഭുതകരമായ പുരോഗതിയാണ് നേടിയത്. നമ്മുടെ നേട്ടങ്ങളുടെ പട്ടിക ബഹിരാകാശം വരെയെത്തി. ആ വലിയ നേട്ടങ്ങളെക്കാളൊക്കെ വലുത് ഗാന്ധിജി ലോകത്തിനു കാട്ടിയ മാതൃകയും നമുക്ക് നൽകിയ ഉപദേശങ്ങളും ആണ്. ഗാന്ധിസത്തിൽ നിന്ന് നമ്മൾ വ്യതിചലിച്ചാൽ അത് നാശത്തിലേക്ക് ആയിരിക്കും. ഗാന്ധി ദർശനത്തിൽ ഉറച്ചു നിന്ന് കൊണ്ട് സമഗ്രവികസനത്തിന് --- വികസനം എല്ലാവർക്കും, വികസനം എല്ലായിടത്തും എത്തിക്കാൻ നമുക്ക് കൂട്ടായി പ്രവർത്തിക്കാം എന്ന് ഓരോ ഭാരതീയനും പ്രതിജ്ഞ ചെയ്യണം.
