Another Outreach/Extension Activity of Department of Tourism Management, IGNTU!
The newly constituted district of Chhattisgarh, Gaurella - Pendra - Marwahi (GPM), is doing a commendable job by developing tourism infrastructure at the grassroots level and implementing community-based tourism through committees of the local tribal people of the destination. They are focusing on the model to provide to the tribal communities.

The Two-week Tourist Facilitator Training Workshop is an attempt to help these community members facilitate tourists better. Twelve selected participants from these Destination Samitis will be imparted orientation and basic Tourism and Hospitality training through various classroom and practical sessions.

This workshop is supported by the District Mineral Foundation Trust of GPM District, CG, and coordinated by GPM Eco Tourism.

Special thanks to Dr. Rahul Gautam, Nodel Officer, GPM for his vision and efforts for making this happen!

"Empowering Young Women Professionals, making a Just World"

The DTM organised a special Workshop on the occasion of International Women's Day 2025.

The exclusive event focused on ways to successfully tackle the issues faced by women in the workplace. The workshop was conducted by Ms. Abhilasha Alise Tirkey, Assistant Professor, Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, IGNTU discussed various critical issues such as gender inequality, workplace harassment, domestic violence, sexual harassment, and societal stereotypes. She also provided motivational insights and practical solutions to overcome these challenges.

Several students shared their personal experiences, making the session interactive and impactful.

The initiative was highly appreciated by attendees for its relevance and effectiveness in fostering awareness and empowerment.

Another feat of

"Tourist Facilitator Guide Training Workshop"

Organised collaboratively by the District Archeology, Tourism and Culture Council (DATCC), Anuppur and Department of Tourism Management, IGNTU, for providing trained tour guides in Amarkantak.

The participants of the training workshop were students, enthusiasts and tourism service providers, residing in and around Amarkantak and Anuppur district.

The participants which successfully completed the training were facilitated with the certificate along with an Amarkantak Tour Guiding licence.

It was indeed a satisfactory initiative for due to the opportunity to contribute to the Tourism Development of Amarkantak.

धार्मिक नगरी अमरकंटक को मिलेंगे टूरिस्ट फैसिलिटेटर गाइड, होगी व्यवसायिक प्रशिक्षण

पर्यटन स्थल और धार्मिक नगरी अमरकंटक में पर्यटकों की संख्या में लगातार वृद्धि हो रही है इसके साथ साथ मध्य प्रदेश टूरिज्म बोर्ड और जिला प्रशासन के द्वारा नित नए नवाचार किये जा रहे हैं, पर्यटन स्थलों का सौन्दर्यीकरण, एडवेंचर गतिविधियों हॉट एयर बैलून, पैरासेलिंग, ग्लास व्यू पॉइंट और अन्य साहसिक गतिविधियों की शुरुआत इस बात का प्रत्यक्ष उदा‍हरण है। राष्ट्रीय पर्यटन दिवस के उपलक्ष्य पर नर्मदा महोत्सव में पर्यटकों को समृद्ध अनुभव प्रदान करने और स्थानीय पर्यटन उद्योगों को बढ़ावा देने के उद्देश्य से पर्यटन प्रबंधन विभाग इंदिरा गांधी राष्ट्रीय जनजातीय विवि अमरकंटक और जिला प्रशासन के संयुक्त तत्वाधान में सात दिवसीय टूरिस्ट फैसिलिटेटर गाइड व्यवसायिक प्रशिक्षण/कार्यशाला का आयोजन किया जा रहा है | कलेक्टर श्री हर्षल पंचोली ने इच्छुक स्थानीय व्यक्तियों से आवेदन करने अपील की है |

इस प्रशिक्षण में पुरुष एवं महिलाऐं दोनों ही आवेदन कर सकते हैं, आवेदन पत्र नगर परिषद अमरकंटक से प्राप्त किया जा कर 25 जनवरी 2025 को कार्यालयीन समय तक जमा किया जा सकेगा। कार्यशाला हेतु प्रति अभ्यर्थी पंजीयन शुल्क 500 रुपये निर्धारित है। पंजीयन शुल्क जिला पुरातत्व, पर्यटन एवं संस्कृति परिषदअनुपपुर (ANUPPUR TOURISM PROMOTION COUNCIL ANUPPUR) के खाता क्रमांक 637802010005514, आईएफएससी कोड UBIN0563781 में जमा कर पावती की छायाप्रति आवेदन के साथ संलग्न कर जमा करना अनिवार्य होगा। कार्यशाला का आयोजन डिपार्टमेंट ऑफ़ टूरिज्म मैनेजमेंट, इंदिरा गांधी राष्ट्रीय जंजा. विवि अमरकंटक में होगा। कार्यशाला का आयोजन एचओडी, डिपार्टमेंट ऑफ़ टूरिज्म मैनेजमेंट, आईजीएनटीयू अमरकंटक एवं जिला पुरातत्व, पर्यटन एवं संस्कृति परिषद् जिला अनुपपुर के द्वारा किया जा रहा है। कार्यशाला, परीक्षा, और परिणाम संबंधी निर्णय गठित समिति द्वारा लिए जाएँगे जो अंतिम एवं सर्वमान्य होंगे। कार्यशाला उपरांत लिखित एवं मौखिक परीक्षा में उत्तीर्ण अभ्यर्थियों को प्रमाण पत्र एवं पर्यटन स्थल अमरकंटक में टूरिस्ट फैसिलिटेटर गाइड का कार्य किये जाने परिचय पत्र वितरण किये जाएंगे। परिचय पत्र छः माह के लिए ही मान्य होंगे, इसके उपरांत नवीनीकरण हेतु अध्यक्ष – जिला पुरातत्व, पर्यटन एवं संस्कृति परिषद् (DATCC) अनुपपुर के नाम आवेदन किया जा सकेगा।

व्यवसायिक प्रशिक्षण/कार्यशाला में आवेदन करने हेतु तीन तात्कालिक पासपोर्ट साइज़ फोटो जिसमे अभ्यर्थी के दोनों कान स्पष्ट दिखाई दे रहे हों, फोटोयुक्त पहचान पत्र (आधार कार्ड / पैन कार्ड), शैक्षणिक अभिलेखों की स्वप्रमाणित छायाप्रति, पुलिस सत्यापन/चरित्र प्रमाण पत्र संलग्‍न करना होगा। प्रशिक्षण के दौरान ओरिजिनल दस्तावेज लाना अनिवार्य होगा।

इस संबंध में मध्यप्रदेश टूरिज्म बोर्ड भोपाल की अपर प्रबंध संचालक बिदिशा मुखर्जी ने बताया है कि इस प्रशिक्षण का मुख्य उद्देश्य क्षेत्र के युवाओं को रोजगार के अवसर देना एवं क्षेत्र में आने वाले पर्यटकों को रोचक ढंग से सही और पूर्ण जानकारी देना है।
