Ambala College of Engineering and Applied Research (ACE) is affiliated to Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Haryana, India.

For economic growth and prosperity, the need is to produce professional engineers by imparting quality education to the students. Guided and graded classroom instructions, interactive tutorial sessions, hands-on laboratory experience, and interaction with successful entrepreneurs and visiting faculty will help the students to develop self-confidence to face the future and turn the problems into opportunities. This is the primary objective at ACE besides granting a degree. The vision is for educating a 'complete person' for a life of service and leadership by focusing on a value-oriented curriculum, dedicated to educating students for competence, conscience, and compassion. When Ambala College of Engineering and Applied Research (ACE) was started, it was often said that applied research was not possible at B.Tech level, especially in the new institutes. However, the vision of the founders was very clear that this is the need of the hour. Unless a change in the direction of engineering education was brought about, the quality of engineers in the country will not improve

To achieve the above goals it was necessary to establish a transparent system. This was accomplished by, among other things, surrendering 100% of the management quota seats to the University for admission by merit only. A good academic environment was also created and the faculty was encouraged to stay on-campus.

🎤 Young Minds, Powerful Voices!

A remarkable 96 students from 31 schools across Ambala came together at Manthan: The Thought Forum hosted by Ambala College of Engineering and Applied Research.

The speech and expression competition for Classes 11 & 12 provided a dynamic platform for students to showcase their ideas, confidence, creativity, and communication skills. Through thought-provoking presentations and inspiring expressions, participants demonstrated the power of young voices and innovative thinking.

The department of AI & ML organized a self-driven activity titled “No Code AI Challenge” on 30th September 2026 at Labs 1 & 2. The event began at 10:00 AM and gave students a platform to turn ideas into working products using AI and no-code tools, without writing traditional code.

Each team consisted of a maximum of two participants. Teams were given two hours before lunch to conceptualize, design, and develop a functional 3-to-5-page website using AI and/or no-code tools. The developed website was required to have proper navigation and at least one interactive feature. To ensure originality and active participation, students were required to develop their projects during the competition. Teams also documented their AI-assisted development process and were instructed to present screenshots of the key AI prompts used during the website development.

After lunch, teams presented live demonstrations of their websites and showed screenshots of the key AI prompts used during development. The presentations were evaluated and the winner was declared at the end of the session. The challenge encouraged creativity, quick problem-solving, and responsible use of AI.

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Ambala College of Engineering & Applied Research under the aegis of IIC and Entrepreneurship and Incubation Council (EPIC) Ambala in collaboration with SmowCode organised a Session on “Next-Gen PLCs for Industrial Innovation: Driving the Next Production Revolution" on 07/09/2026. The session was designed to provide students with valuable exposure to advanced PLC technologies, industrial automation, intelligent manufacturing, and emerging production practices. By connecting academic learning with contemporary industrial applications, the initiative aims to strengthen technical competencies, promote innovation, and prepare aspiring engineers for the evolving demands of Industry 4.0 and next-generation manufacturing.

A grand and vibrant 'Freshers' Party-2026' was organized at the Ambala College of Engineering and Applied Research to welcome the new students. Organized by the second-year students, the event saw the newcomers enthusiastically participating in various cultural performances and entertaining competitions. An atmosphere of excitement and high spirits prevailed among the students throughout the entire program.

The event was coordinated by Er. Saurabh Buddhiraja and Er. Manisha Dhindsa; both coordinators successfully managed the preparations and various arrangements.
Students showcased their talent, creativity, and confidence through diverse performances, including dance, singing, poetry recitations, and a fashion show. The new students participated enthusiastically in the various competitions.

The panel of judges for the competitions comprised three college alumni: Er. Saksham Sehgal, Er. Ritika, and Er. Rajat Madan. The judges selected the winners based on the participants' talent, personality, confidence, and stage presence.

In the competitions, Harsh*t Sharma won the title of Mr. Fresher, Mehak Bakhshi—Miss Fresher, Naman Rohilla—Mr. Handsome, Ramya—Miss Charming, Heman Preet—Mr. Spotlight, and Anushka—Miss Diva.

Speaking to the students on this occasion, the college Registrar, Group Captain C.S. Sharma, said that such events provide students with an opportunity to showcase their talent, creativity, and self-confidence.

While welcoming the new students, he stated that the college encourages cultural and creative activities alongside academic pursuits to foster the students' all-round development. He inspired the students to move forward with discipline, a positive mindset, and mutual cooperation.

Mr. Ashwani Goyal (B.O.G Member), Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Jain Dean (Academic Affairs), Dr. Mukesh Kumar Dean (Student Welfare), all Heads of Departments, and the entire teaching faculty of the college were present at the event. The guests and faculty members encouraged the students and commended the organizing students and program coordinators for the successful event.

The freshers' party provided new students with an opportunity to connect with the college community, showcase their talents, and build meaningful bonds with their peers. The event was marked by great enthusiasm and high spirits among the students, making it a memorable occasion.
