Celebrating a Legacy of Patriotism & Education: The 125th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee ✨

Today, the campus of Amdanga Jugal Kishore Mahavidyalaya resonated with deep respect, nationalism, and cultural fervor as we solemnly and enthusiastically celebrated the 125th Birth Anniversary of the eminent educationist, statesman, and patriot, Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee.

The event, held at our College Auditorium, brought together our administration, faculty, staff, and students to pay tribute to a monumental visionary.

🇮🇳 Highlights of the Day:
A Solemn Beginning: The program was presided over by our esteemed Principal, Dr. Anadi Mohan Roy, alongside distinguished special guests Sri Sanjib Oraon (Pradhan, Maricha Gram Panchayat) and Sri Gopal Chowdhury (Prominent Local Social Worker). The auditorium was filled with a sense of deep nationalism with the collective rendering of "Vande Mataram" and "Dhana Dhanye Pushpe Bhara".

Expert Anchoring: The entire cultural and academic segment unfolded seamlessly under the smooth guidance of Dr. Rachana Roy, Head of the Post Graduate Programme of the Bengali Department.

Insightful Tributes & History:

Our Principal delivered a powerful presidential address on Dr. Mookerjee's enduring legacy.
Bratati Bhattacharya touched our hearts with Tagore's poems and songs, highlighting the beautiful historical connection of "Subha Karmapothe Dhoro Mongolo Gaan", composed by Tagore at the special behest of Dr. Mookerjee.

Dr. Sutapa Dutta Ghosh (faculty member and granddaughter of our noble land donor, Sri Jugal Kishore Ghosh) presented a wonderful short cultural program with our students.

Sri Debaprasad Ghosh shared an informative discussion on the life and multifaceted struggles of Dr. Mookerjee.

Vibrant Student Performances: Our talented students across various departments took the stage with beautifully choreographed songs and dance performances curated especially for this momentous occasion.

Words of Inspiration: Guest speakers Sri Sanjib Oraon and Sri Gopal Chowdhury reminded us all of the relevance of Dr. Mookerjee's ideals in contemporary society.

The memorable day drew to a successful close with a thoughtful valedictory speech and vote of thanks by Dr. Sukesh Biswas, Head of the Education Department.

It was truly an event that left the entire college community culturally enriched and educationally motivated! 🎓🙌

আমডাঙা যুগল কিশোর মহাবিদ্যালয়ে ২৩ জুন থেকে গত প্রায় পক্ষকাল যাবৎ চলছে ড শ্যামাপ্রসাদ মুখোপাধ্যায় স্মৃতিপক্ষ উদযাপন। ইতিমধ্যেই ২৭ জুন ২০২৬ তারিখ মহাবিদ্যালয়ে বিশেষ আমন্ত্রিত বক্তা হিসেবে উপস্থিত হয়েছেন পশ্চিমবঙ্গ রাষ্ট্রীয় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অধ্যাপিকা ড সোমা ভদ্র রায়। গত ৩ জুলাই উপস্থিত হয়েছেন টাকি গভঃ কলেজের ইতিহাস বিভাগের অধ্যাপক ড উত্তম দাস। এ ছাড়াও মহাবিদ্যালয়ের পক্ষ থেকে আমডাঙা ব্লকের সমস্ত স্কুল ও কলেজের ছাত্রছাত্রীদের নিয়ে অনুষ্ঠিত হচ্ছে প্রবন্ধ রচনা প্রতিযোগিতা। সর্বোপরি মহাবিদ্যালয়ের সমস্ত শিক্ষক ও শিক্ষাকর্মীদের উৎসাহে প্রত্যেকদিন অনুষ্ঠিত হয়ে চলেছে শ্যামাপ্রসাদ মুখোপাধ্যায়ের বিভিন্ন লেখা পাঠ ও তাঁর জীবন ও কাজের বিভিন্ন দিক নিয়ে মনোজ্ঞ আলোচনা। তারই কিছু ঝলক রইল নিচের ছবিগুলোতে।

আমডাঙা যুগল কিশোর মহাবিদ্যালয়ে গত ২৩ জুন ২০২৬ থেকে শুরু হয়েছে ‘ড. শ্যামাপ্রসাদ মুখোপাধ্যায় স্মৃতিপক্ষ উদযাপন’। প্রায় পক্ষকাল ব্যাপী চলা এই আয়োজনে মহাবিদ্যালয়ের পক্ষ থেকে যে সমস্ত উদ্যোগ গ্রহণ করা হয়েছে, তার মধ্যে উল্লেখযোগ্য কয়েকটির প্রতি বিশেষ আলোকপাত: --
• বিশিষ্ট অতিথিদের উপস্থিতি:
o গত ২৭ জুন, ২০২৬ তারিখে বিশেষ আমন্ত্রিত বক্তা হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন পশ্চিমবঙ্গ রাষ্ট্রীয় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অধ্যাপিকা ড. সোমা ভদ্র রায়।
o গত ৩ জুলাই উপস্থিত হয়ে তাঁর মূল্যবান বক্তব্য রেখেছেন টাকি গভঃ কলেজের ইতিহাস বিভাগের অধ্যাপক ড. উত্তম দাস।
• ছাত্রছাত্রীদের প্রতিভা অন্বেষণ: মহাবিদ্যালয়ের উদ্যোগে আমডাঙা ব্লকের সমস্ত স্কুল ও কলেজের ছাত্রছাত্রীদের নিয়ে আয়োজিত হয়েছে একটি বিশেষ প্রবন্ধ রচনা প্রতিযোগিতা।
• দৈনিক আলোচনা ও পাঠচক্র: মহাবিদ্যালয়ের সমস্ত শিক্ষক ও শিক্ষাকর্মী বৃন্দের আন্তরিক উৎসাহে প্রতিদিন ড. শ্যামাপ্রসাদ মুখোপাধ্যায়ের বিভিন্ন লেখা পাঠ এবং তাঁর জীবন ও কর্মের নানা দিক নিয়ে চলছে মনোজ্ঞ আলোচনা।
• পার্শ্ববর্তী সাধনপুর তুলসীরাম উচ্চ-বিদ্যালয়ের সঙ্গে যৌথ স্মরণ অনুষ্ঠান: মহাবিদ্যালয়ের অধ্যাপক চিরন্তন দাসগুপ্ত এবং ড সুকেশ বিশ্বাস বিদ্যালয়ের ছাত্রছাত্রী এবং শিক্ষক শিক্ষিকাদের সঙ্গে একটি আলোচনাচক্রে অংশগ্রহণ করেন ২৯ জুন ২০২৬ তারিখ।
• আগামী সোমবার ৬ জুলাই ড শ্যামাপ্রসাদ মুখোপাধ্যায়ের ১২৫ জন্মবার্ষিকী উপলক্ষ্যে মহাবিদ্যালয়ে অনুষ্ঠিত হবে বিশেষ স্মরণ ও সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান
