"Codorithm - University Level Coding Competition" was organized on 23rd April 2022 by the Students' Activity Cell, Dept. of Information Technology, Sipna College of Engineering and Technology, Amravati in association with Sipna CSI Student Branch and CSI Amravati Chapter. The main aim of organizing this Coding Competition was to provide a platform for all Engineering, BSC, and BCA students to showcase their coding talent.
The registrations for Codorithm 2022 started on 13th April 2022 and ended on 22nd April 2022. 45 Coding teams from many colleges like Prof. Ram Meghe College of Engineering & Research, HVPM College of Engineering & Technology, P. R. Pote College of Engineering & Management, Vidyabharti Mahavidyalaya, Dr. Rajendra Gode Institute of Technology & Research, and Sipna College of Engineering & Technology, Amravati showed their active participation in this competition.
The inauguration of this coding completion was done by the hands of Respected Dr. S. M. Kherde Sir, Principal, Sipna COET, Amravati in the presence of Dr. V. S. Gulhane Sir, HOD, Dept. of IT, all the faculties of IT Dept., participants along with Codorithm’s faculty coordinators, student coordinators, and team members. Principal Sir wished all the best to all the participants, interacted with them, and took a photo with Team Codorithm.
After the inauguration, the competition started. Codorithm was held on a HackerRank platform where participants were allowed to find the solution to the given problem statements in any one of the languages from C, C++, Java, and Python. There were two rounds in this competition, each of 1 hr. 30 min where only qualified teams of round 1 were eligible for round 2. The top 3 teams of round 2 were selected as winners.
The team of Ashutosh Adhao and Sakshi Malviya from Sipna COET, Amt was the 2nd Runner up and they won Rs. 2000/- cash prize sponsored by Obdurate Technologies Pvt. Ltd. along with a trophy and certificates. Manthan Kurhekar and Jay Khapre’s team from PRMIT&R, won the Runner up prize of Rs. 3000/- along with the trophy and certificates. The Team of Yash Atalkar and Adarsh Jha emerged as winners and they won the cash prize of Rs. 5000/- along with the trophy and certificates. Prof. Gaurav Sawale Sir and Prof. Sangram Dandge Sir from Dept. of CSE, PRMIT&R, Badnera were the Judges of this competition.
The program was successfully organized under the guidance of Dr. P. R. Malasane Sir, Dean, Student Affairs, Dr. V. S. Gulhane Sir, HOD, Dept. of IT, Faculty Coordinators- Prof. S. Z. Khan Mam, and Prof. A. R. Bhuyar Sir, and Student coordinators- Prathamesh Rathod, Rutika Khedkar, Sarth Khandekar, and Surita Sahu. The students of the entire Codorithm Team also worked hard to make this competition a grand success.
