Directorate of Placement & Career Enhancement, Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar, successfully organized a special student interaction road drive and seminar highlighting various career opportunities in the Indian Air Force (IAF). The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students representing diverse departments of the University. The Indian Air Force team comprised Wing Commander Daxina Dhasmana, Defence Psychologist, Sq. Leader Abhimanyu Kadyan and Flight Lt. Gursharan Singh and other team members.
As part of the drive, the IAF showcased its specially designed Induction Publicity Exhibition Vehicle (IPEV) – a state-of-the-art, modified Volvo bus equipped to present an immersive experience of life and careers in the Air Force. The mobile exhibition brought the essence of the IAF directly to the University’s doorstep, featuring interactive displays, videos, and information modules on different branches and roles within the force.
During the seminar, senior officers from the IAF provided in-depth insights into various entry pathways, training programs, and career progression opportunities available to young graduates and postgraduates. The interaction aimed to inspire students to consider the Indian Air Force as a dynamic and prestigious career choice, while also addressing their queries about eligibility, selection processes, and life in service.
