SGRD Academic & Research Society, SARS organised through their workshop club "ECG Mastery Bootcamp". The workshop was designed to focus on bridging the gap between theory & clinical practice.
This huge task would not have been possible without the able guidance and support of our Dean Dr. A.P. Singh. We are thankful to our Worthy Director Principal Dr. Anupama Mahajan who guided us every step of the way. Our worthy Vice Chancellor Dr. Manjit Singh Uppal and Dr. B.S. Bajwa (Member PMC) graced the occasion and enriched the participants with their pearls of wisdom. We thank Dr. Gurinder Mohan, Dr. Manish Chandey & Dr. Sheveta Dureja Bhandari for tutoring the participants about various aspects of ECG. Thanks to the technicians Mr. Balwinder Singh and Mr. Jalak Bahadur for the live demonstration of ECG. Special thanks are due to our Workshop Club Head, Dr. Richa G**y Thaman, without whose help and guidance, this event would not have been possible. We also thank all the SARS faculty & fellow students of the Workshop club team for tirelessly working day and night to make this event a success. Last but not the least, thanks to all the participants from all over Punjab and adjoining states who travelled long distances to make this a truly memorable learning exercise.

Department of Paediatrics at Sri Guru Ram Das Institute of Medical Sciences & Research conducted 'IAP CPR Day', under the guidance of Respected Dean, Dr. A. P. Singh and with the esteemed support of Vice Chancellor, Dr. M. S. Uppal, and Director Principal., Dr. Anupama Mahajan.
400+ participants from healthcare professionals united by a single mission, to save lives. Paramedical personnel and support staff received hands-on training in the life-saving skill of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), reinforcing the importance of timely intervention during medical emergencies.
Together, we took another step towards building a community equipped to save lives.

IAP CPR DAY - In celebration of National CPR Awareness Day on July 21st, the Department of Pediatrics at SGRDIMSR organized an impactful Mass CPR hands-on training workshop at the Sri Guru Ram Das Institute of Medical Sciences & Research in Sri Amritsar. This initiative aimed to elevate public consciousness regarding the critical importance of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in saving lives during cardiac emergencies. Department of Pathology, Sri Guru Ram Das Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Sri Amritsar, hosted a CME on "Basic in Quality Control in Hematology & Advances in Immunohematology". This event served as an invaluable platform for healthcare professionals to deepen their understanding of quality control measures essential for ensuring accurate hematological assessments, which are vital for effective patient care. Additionally, the discussions on the latest advancements in immunohematology provided attendees with insights into innovative techniques and technologies that are shaping the future of blood transfusion practices and compatibility testing. The event's significance was further highlighted by the awarding of 4 PMC Credit Hours from the Punjab Medical Council.

Today on the occasion of "World Zoonoses Day", the Department of Community Medicine, Sri Guru Ram Das Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Sri Amritsar (SGRD) organized an orientation programme to raise awareness about zoonotic diseases and their impact on public health.
The programme aimed to educate students, interns and healthcare professionals about the transmission, prevention and control of diseases that spread from animals to humans. Emphasis was laid on the importance of early detection, surveillance, vaccination, responsible animal handling and adherence to infection prevention and control measures.
