An expert talk on “Advancement in Renal Dialysis Technology” was successfully conducted on 27th December 2025 from 12:00 noon onwards for the students of Renal Dialysis Technology and Operation Theater and Anesthesia Technology. The session was delivered by Dr. Vikas Raval, Medical Officer, PHC Dahod, who shared valuable insights on recent technological advancements, clinical practices, and the evolving role of allied healthcare professionals in patient care.

The expert talk was organized by Mr. Dinkal Patel with the constant support and guidance of Mr. Kartikey Dave, Campus Director. The session was interactive and informative, enriching the academic knowledge and clinical exposure of the participating students. A field visit to Zydus Hospital, Vadodara was successfully organized on 30th December 2025 for the students of SY and TY Renal Dialysis Technology, along with BSS Certificate in Dialysis Technology students, to provide practical exposure to clinical practices in renal care. The visit focused on the Dialysis Department, where students observed various dialysis machines, advanced equipment, and treatment procedures, gaining valuable insight into real-time clinical operations.

The visit was carried out by Mr. Jay Purohit and accompanied by Ms. Priyal Patel, under the guidance of Mr. Kartikey Dave, Sir. Students were briefed on the functioning, safety protocols, and technological advancements used in dialysis therapy.

The field visit was highly informative and successfully bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical clinical experience, making it a valuable academic activity.

A Faculty and Student Development Programme on Laboratory Spill Response and Biomedical Waste (BMW) Management was successfully organized by the Department of MLT/CLT, B. N. Patel Institute of Paramedical and Science. The programme was arranged by Ms. Kajal Oza under the guidance of Dr. Devang Khambholja.

The programme featured an expert session by Mr. Sagar Patel, Owner of Hezaclean Biomedical Waste, who served as the resource person. The sessions focused on laboratory spill response, biomedical waste management practices, the importance of BMW in laboratories,and an overview of the procedures for establishing and operating a biomedical waste treatment plant. Emphasis was placed on hands-on training, safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and real-world practical insights.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Shri Kartik Dave, Director, and Dr. Nayan Patel, I/C Principal. The institute extends its heartfelt gratitude to Dr. B. N. As part of our Extension and Outreach Activity Cell, a Medical Check-up Camp was held at Saraswati Shishikunj School, Borsad. The event was conducted by the Departments of Renal Dialysis Technology and Medical Laboratory Technology from B. N. Patel Institute of Paramedical and Science.

The camp offered general health screening, hypertension checks, BMI assessment, free doctor consultation, and blood group screening. It gave students and staff a clear picture of their overall health.

The initiative ran under the guidance of Dr. M. N. Kapasi (MBBS, Consulting Diabetologist & Medical Officer, Dialysis Unit), supported by:

An Awareness Session on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act, 2013 was organized on 9th December 2025 at B. N. Patel Institute of Paramedical and Science (Autonomous College) by the Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell and Anti-Ragging Cell.

Ms. Ashaben Dalal, NGO representative and social worker, delivered an expert talk using real case studies and practical social examples. Her session provided meaningful insights into legal rights, workplace safety, complaint procedures, and preventive measures related to sexual harassment.

Our institute hosted an inspiring expert talk under the Indian Knowledge System initiative, organized by IQAC. The session, titled Shreemad Bhagavad Gita: A Book of Life, brought fresh insight into how the Gita’s wisdom shapes clarity, purpose, and everyday decision-making.

Dr. Dilip M Patel, Associate Professor at Anand Education College, led the session. His calm, thoughtful way of explaining the Gita made the ideas feel practical and relevant for students and faculty.

The event took place on 2 December 2025 at the Chanchal Baa Auditorium, where participants spent the morning exploring timeless lessons that still speak to modern life.

A Faculty Development Program was hosted by B. N. Patel Institute of Paramedical and Science, managed by Sardar Patel Education Trust, Anand.

On 3 December 2025, the institute’s IQAC conducted an FDP on the upcoming Medical Laboratory Science curriculum to be introduced nationwide from 2026–27.

Dr. Dhara Patel, Principal (Allied & Healthcare Institute, Charusat University) and a member of the national taskforce designing the new curriculum, led the session. She walked the participants through the framework, implementation plan, and expected academic outcomes. Faculty from various colleges joined in, shared questions, and received clear guidance.

The programme was held under the guidance of Director Mr. Kartikey Dave and In-charge Principal Dr. Nayan Patel. Academic coordination was led by Dr. Devang Khambholja, Academic Head & IQAC Coordinator.

Principals, HoDs, and faculty members from multiple institutions attended and added to the strength of the event.

A special appreciation to Dr. B. N. Patel, Managing Trustee, for encouraging initiatives that prepare faculty for national academic reforms.
