🚀 **SRIT Conducts Internal Hackathon for Smart India Hackathon 2026**

Srinivasa Ramanujan Institute of Technology (Autonomous), Anantapur, successfully conducted the **Internal Hackathon for Smart India Hackathon (SIH)–2026** under the aegis of the IEDP Cell.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from around **840 students representing 140 teams**, who presented innovative solutions to **60+ problem statements** across Software and Hardware categories.

A panel of **14 senior faculty jury members** evaluated the projects based on innovation, problem-solving ability, technical feasibility and social impact. Following the evaluation, **50 best-performing teams were shortlisted** and their details were submitted through the SIH–2026 portal.

The event was successfully conducted with the support of **Principal Dr. G. Balakrishna, Vice President Dr. M. Ranjith Reddy, SIH Coordinators Kavitha, Varun and Fathima Naseera**, along with the jury members, faculty and students.

SRIT congratulates all the participating students and teams for their enthusiasm and innovative spirit and encourages them to pursue greater opportunities in innovation, technology and entrepreneurship.

🎓 **Alumni Talk Series: “From Idea to Innovation – Winning the Hackathon”** 💡

The Department of CSE (AI & ML), in association with the Internet Society of India, Hyderabad Chapter, organized an insightful Alumni Talk Series at **Srinivasa Ramanujan Institute of Technology (Autonomous), Anantapuramu**.

The session was delivered by **Mr. Palyam Loksai**, Data Engineer at Virtusa and an alumnus of the **2021–2025 batch**. He shared valuable insights into transforming innovative ideas into practical solutions and strategies for performing effectively in hackathons.

The session covered key aspects including **idea generation, problem identification, solution development, teamwork, project presentation, and effective hackathon strategies**. Students were encouraged to think creatively, develop innovative solutions, and actively participate in hackathons and other innovation-driven activities.

🏛️ **Royal Charter Day | SRIT–IEI Collaboration**

Srinivasa Ramanujan Institute of Technology (Autonomous), in association with **The Institution of Engineers (India), Andhra Pradesh State Centre**, celebrated **Royal Charter Day** to create awareness among engineering students about the significance of IEI, professional membership, sustainable engineering, and lifelong learning.

Prof. MLS Deva Kumar, Chairman, IEI Andhra Pradesh State Centre, spoke about the historical significance of Royal Charter Day and the role of IEI in strengthening the engineering profession. He highlighted the benefits of **IEI lifelong membership**, including professional networking, technical programmes, workshops, seminars, FDPs, and continuous learning opportunities.

Er. Ramakrishna Reddy emphasized the importance of Royal Charter Day and the role of IEI in the professional growth of engineers.

Dr. G. Balakrishna, Principal, SRIT, highlighted the value of the **IEI–SRIT collaboration** and appreciated the workshops, FDPs, seminars, and technical programmes jointly organized for students and faculty.

🚫 **Student Anti-Drug Parliament | SRIT**

Srinivasa Ramanujan Institute of Technology (Autonomous), Ananthapuramu, organized **“Student Anti-Drug Parliament – Mock Parliament for a Drug-Free Tomorrow”** under the NSS Cell in association with JNTUA.

The programme focused on creating awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse, prevention, youth responsibility, and the importance of building a drug-free campus. Students actively participated in the mock parliament and shared their views on promoting a healthy and responsible lifestyle.

🎙️ **Dr. G. Balakrishna, Principal**, advised students to stay away from drugs, adopt healthy habits, and focus on their future goals.

**Dr. M. Ranjith Reddy, Vice President**, called upon students to contribute to building a healthy and responsible society and highlighted the importance of awareness programmes in preventing drug abuse.

🌱⚡ **Eco Energy Club Inaugurated at SRIT** ⚡🌱

The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), Srinivasa Ramanujan Institute of Technology (SRIT), inaugurated the **Eco Energy Club** on **17 September 2026** with the objective of promoting awareness, innovation, and responsible practices in **energy conservation, renewable energy, and environmental sustainability**.

The club will provide students with a platform to explore **clean energy, energy efficiency, smart energy systems, electric mobility, renewable technologies, and sustainable development** through technical activities, awareness campaigns, competitions, projects, and community initiatives.

The Principal, Vice Principal, IQAC Director, and Heads of Departments addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of energy conservation, renewable energy, environmental sustainability, and student innovation. The HOD of EEE highlighted the club’s objectives and encouraged students to actively participate in its initiatives.

🇮🇳 **SRIT Student Participates in Yuva Sangam Phase VI** 🇮🇳

We are proud to share that **Ms. Akshaya, III B.Tech – EEE, SRIT**, successfully participated in **Yuva Sangam Phase VI**, a youth exchange initiative under **Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat**, held from **2nd to 10th June 2026 in Maharashtra**.

The programme offered enriching experiences through **heritage visits, biodiversity walks, tree plantation, cultural and language sessions, educational interactions, village development activities, and people-to-people exchange**.

Her journey included visits to **Jejuri, Adachiwadi Model Village, IISER Pune, Shaniwar Wada**, and other heritage sites, along with an interaction with the **Governor of Maharashtra**.

🚀 **CLEVENTON CLUB | SPRINT 2 – “INFERX”** 🤖

The Department of **Computer Science and Engineering (AI & Data Science)**, in association with the **Cleventon Club**, successfully organized **Sprint 2 – “INFERX”** on 16 September 2026 at SRIT.

The session was led by **Rajanandini B, II CAD** and **Nikhitha M, II CAD**, who introduced students to the fundamentals of **Artificial Intelligence** and the basic workflow of an AI model.

Students explored how AI systems learn from data and how models progress from **training to prediction**, with an emphasis on practical understanding and real-world applications.

The session encouraged students to look beyond AI theory, develop practical thinking, and build an interest in creating AI-powered solutions.

Srinivasa Ramanujan Institute of Technology (Autonomous), Ananthapuramu, proudly celebrated **Engineers’ Day 2026** on **15 & 16 September 2026**, bringing together innovation, technology, creativity, and engineering excellence through a vibrant two-day celebration.

The celebrations featured engaging technical and creative activities organized by various departments, including **Return of Algorithms – Hackathon** by CSE, **Project Expo & Technical Quiz** by EEE, **Poster Presentation & Decode It! – Signals & Circuits Challenge** by ECE, **Code Clash** by CSM, **Code Spark – Ignite Your Coding Skills** by CAD, **Technical Quiz** by Mechanical, **Bridge Blitz, Technical Quiz & Technical Treasure Hunt** by Civil, and **Shutter Bug – Lens on Engineering**.
