Mathematics in Day-to-Day Life: Session

Ms. Utkarsha Joshi, Assistant Professor of the Basic Science and Humanities Department conducted an engaging academic outreach session for the students of Parse High School, highlighting how mathematics plays a vital role in our everyday lives.

The session focused on the practical applications of mathematical concepts, helping students understand their importance in problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making.

Achievement at Technix

Team Cursor, comprising of Neil Souza from Third Year Computer Engineering won the 2nd place in an electrifying Oxford-style Debate Competition at the event Technix, hosted by Goa College of Engineering.

The event brought together sharp minds and bold perspectives from across colleges. With three dynamic rounds, participants showcased critical thinking, persuasive speaking, and the art of respectful disagreement.

From compelling arguments to powerful rebuttals, every moment reflected the true spirit of intellectual exchange and teamwork.

Opportunities in Engineering – An Informative Session

The Basic Science and Humanities Department of AITD successfully organized an engaging session on 'Opportunities in Engineering' for Standard XII students and their parents on 11th April 2026. The session aimed to provide valuable insights into the vast scope of engineering, various specializations, career prospects, and the pathways available for aspiring engineers.

Through expert guidance from the heads of the Mechanical Department, Computer Department and Electronics and Computer Department students and parents were given an indepth understanding into the fields. The session was filled with interactive discussions, participants gained a clearer understanding of the engineering field helping them make informed decisions about their future.

We thank all the students and parents for their enthusiastic participation and look forward to guiding many more young minds towards a successful engineering career!

AITD’s Public Speaking Club – Speech Sparks organized Ingenuity Conclave 2026, an intercollegiate public speaking event on 28th February 2026, bringing together talented speakers from various institutions across Goa.

The competition featured three dynamic rounds – Debate, Group Presentation, and Extempore, challenging participants to demonstrate critical thinking, persuasive communication, and teamwork.

The theme of the event, “Innovation for Impact,” encouraged participants to present innovative ideas and solutions that can create meaningful change in society. The event witnessed 9 teams delivering impressive presentations, thought-provoking ideas, and well-structured arguments throughout the competition.
