The IICT IEEE Student Branch successfully organized an engaging Panel Discussion on “AI-Era Competencies – Skills for 2026 and Beyond” at Rukmini Auditorium, MGM Campus on 30th March 2026.

🎤 Moderated by Dr. Sharvari C. Tamane, Director, IICT, MGM University—the session brought together esteemed experts:
• Ms. Medha Deshpande
• Mr. Abhay Deshmukh
• Dr. Shilpa Bade
• Mr. Prasad Gore

💡 The discussion focused on:
✔ Transformation of skills in the AI era
✔ Future job market trends
✔ Skills-first vs degree-based hiring
✔ Role of Generative AI in education
✔ Industry expectations from students

With around 600 participants, the session witnessed active engagement from students and faculty, making it highly interactive and insightful.

🎖️ A Proud Homecoming: Col. Arvind Pathak (B.Tech IT, 2011) Visits MGM University

Today, the IICT family at MGM University had the immense privilege of welcoming back one of our proud alumni — Col. Arvind Pathak, a 2011 B.Tech (Information Technology) graduate, who visited the campus along with his wife Mrs. Vidushi Pathak and their son Master Yohan.

Col. Pathak, an esteemed officer of the Indian Army, has served the nation with honor and dedication in various challenging and strategic terrains including Leh-Ladakh, Pune, Jammu & Kashmir, Northeast India, and border-sensitive zones, showcasing immense courage and leadership. His journey from the lecture halls of IICT to the snow-covered outposts of the Indian Armed Forces is both inspiring and humbling.

During his visit, Col. Pathak graciously took blessings from Hon. Chancellor Shri Ankushrao Kadam, and interacted with:
