तत्व” - A Masterclass for Industry Ready HR successfully conducted at

MGM IOMR

As a part of its continuous effort to provide practical and industry-oriented management education,
MGM Institute of Management & Research organized a one-day HR masterclass titled “तत्व” - A
Masterclass for Industry Ready HR in collaboration with the NIPM CSN Student Chapter. The
session was conducted on Saturday 07 March 2026 by Mr. Sandip Pimpale, Assistant General Manager
at Grind Master Machines Pvt. Ltd., who shared valuable insights from his extensive industry
experience in Human Resource Management. The master class was organized under the functional MoU
between MGM University IOMR and NIPM CSN. Mr. Puneet Dhingra, Chair NIPM CSN Chapter and
Mr. Sameer Karurkar – Plant HR&IR Marathwada Auto Comp Pvt Ltd & Vice Chair NIPM Student
Chapter, also graced the occasion and guided the students regarding the practical nuances of HR.
Dr. Ranit Kishore, Director IOMR MGM University expressed the need to undergo such a masterclass
where the industry leaders train the students.
What made this masterclass particularly significant for MGM IOMR was its strong practice-driven
approach. Instead of focusing only on theoretical concepts, the session emphasized real organizational
HR processes, workplace examples, and demonstrations of HR systems used in industry. This initiative
reflects the institute’s commitment to bridging the gap between classroom learning and industry
expectations, ensuring that students develop competencies required to become industry-ready HR
professionals.
The masterclass provided students with practical exposure to the complete employee lifecycle, helping
them understand how HR functions operate within real organizations.
Key Learnings
The session began with an explanation of the recruitment and hiring process, where students learned
how organizations identify manpower requirements, prepare job descriptions, and use various
recruitment sources such as job portals, campus recruitment, and employee referrals. The process of
shortlisting candidates, conducting interviews, and selecting the most suitable candidate was explained
with practical examples.
The discussion then moved to induction and training, highlighting how structured onboarding programs
help employees understand organizational culture, policies, and expectations. The importance of
continuous training and development programs in improving employee productivity and adaptability
was also emphasized.
Another important area covered was performance management and employee engagement. The resource
person explained appraisal systems, key performance indicators, and feedback mechanisms used to
evaluate employee performance and support professional development. The role of HR in creating a
positive work environment through recognition and engagement initiatives was also discussed.
The session further included insights into statutory compliance and payroll systems, where students
were introduced to key labour laws and compliance responsibilities of HR professionals. The resource
person also demonstrated the use of HR software for payroll processing, attendance tracking, and
employee data management, providing students with a practical understanding of modern HR systems.
The HR masterclass proved to be an enriching and insightful learning experience for students pursuing
careers in Human Resource Management. By combining conceptual understanding with practical
demonstrations and industry insights, the session enhanced students’ knowledge of HR processes and
strengthened their understanding of the employee lifecycle.
Such initiatives play an important role in preparing students to become competent and industry-ready
HR professionals, aligning with MGM IOMR’s vision of delivering experiential and industry-integrated
management education. MGM University
