The Seven-Day B.Tech Induction Program (2026–27) at Shreeyash College of Engineering and Technology (Autonomous), Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar was inaugurated today with immense enthusiasm, marking the beginning of an inspiring academic journey for the newest members of the Shreeyash family.
The inaugural ceremony witnessed an overwhelming response, with more than 500 students and parents coming together to celebrate this significant milestone, creating an atmosphere filled with excitement, aspirations, and new beginnings.
In a unique and meaningful departure from the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, the inauguration was performed through the watering of a sapling at the hands of the Chief Guest and other dignitaries, symbolizing growth, learning, sustainability, and the nurturing of young minds—values that define the Shreeyash educational philosophy.
The program was graced by Shri S. J. Sanghai, President – Group Purchase, Endurance Technologies Ltd., Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, as the Chief Guest. Drawing from over 40 years of industry experience, he delivered an inspiring and practical address that encouraged students to prepare not only for successful careers but also for meaningful lives.
In his thought-provoking session, Shri Sanghai emphasized the power of reading, the importance of effective communication and soft skills, understanding one's own strengths and limitations, learning through travel and experiences, developing leadership qualities, embracing teamwork, becoming mentally and professionally stronger, never compromising on core values, and, above all, taking action today instead of waiting for tomorrow.
Addressing the gathering, Hon. Shri Basawraj Mangrule, Chairman of Shreeyash Pratishthan, urged students to sincerely imbibe the skills and values shared by the Chief Guest, emphasizing that these qualities would shape them into competent professionals and responsible individuals.
A special highlight of the inaugural ceremony was the felicitation of outstanding students and their families, celebrating excellence and inspiring the incoming batch.
The parents of Sandesh Gorde, a final-year B.Tech Mechanical Engineering student placed at Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd., Mrs. Asha Gorde and Shri Kakasaheb Gorde, were felicitated for their unwavering support.
The institution also honored MBA Department University Topper Rakshanda Chakre, along with her family—Mrs. Bebinanda Chakre, Shri Ramesh Chakre, and her brother Ashutosh Chakre—in recognition of her remarkable academic achievement.
Recognizing academic excellence among the newly admitted students, Mr. Kartik Sonawane and Mr. Nishant Dabhade, the top-performing B.Tech first-year entrants, were also felicitated by the dignitaries.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Commodore Surendra Gochke, CEO, Shreeyash Pratishthan; Dr. Ulhas Shiurkar, Academic Director; Dr. B. M. Patil, Principal; Dr. P. M. Ardhapurkar, Dean Academics; Prof. Santosh Kulkarni, Head of Applied Sciences; Prof. Yashoda Kale, Admission Head; ANO Prof. Brijbhushan Shukla; and Dr. Hari Khawal, Coordinator of the Induction Program.
