Chitkara University Advances the Conversation on Research, Innovation & Global Impact

The IEEE–EBSCO Knowledge Feast, themed “Beyond Traditional Education: Reinventing Institutions for Research, Innovation and Global Impact,” bringing together academic leaders and professionals to explore the evolving landscape of higher education.

A key highlight was the keynote address by Dr. Rajnish Sharma, Vice Chancellor, Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh, on “How IEEE Can Play a Role in Building a Great Academic Institution.”

Dr. Sharma highlighted the pivotal role of IEEE in strengthening academic institutions through research excellence, innovation, industry–academia collaboration, and global academic networks.

Dr. Sandhya Sharma, IEEE Branch Counselor, Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh, also represented the University and its vibrant IEEE community at the event.

Empowering Future Professionals with Recruiter Insights & Career-Ready Skills

The School of Engineering & Technology, Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh, in collaboration with the ACM Student Chapter and the Professional Development Centre, hosted the two-day career development session “Campus to Corporate: Inside Recruiter’s Mind” led by Nitin Nagaich, an internationally acclaimed Career Coach and Recruitment Expert with over 26 years of experience in talent acquisition and career mentoring. Drawing from his global hiring experience, he shared valuable insights into what recruiters truly look for in today’s competitive job market.

During the session, students explored recruiter expectations, resume building, interview preparation, personal branding, professional communication, and real-world hiring practices. Through interactive discussions and practical examples, they learned how to build strong professional profiles and approach placement opportunities with confidence.

The session concluded with students gaining practical knowledge, greater confidence, and a clearer understanding of how to successfully transition from campus to the corporate world, reinforcing Chitkara University’s commitment to creating industry-ready professionals.

A vibrant new era of student engagement begins at Chitkara University with the inauguration of the Office of Student Life (OSL)—a dynamic platform designed to inspire leadership, creativity, collaboration, and holistic growth beyond the classroom.

The celebration marked the launch of 19 student-led clubs, brought to life through captivating performances, an inspiring Art Walk, energetic hip-hop and Bhangra acts, theatre, poetry, and the symbolic Leaders' Walk—each reflecting the talent, passion, and spirit of our student community.

The excitement continued with the Canopies Carnival, where students explored clubs, discovered new passions, and found endless opportunities to connect, create, and lead.

Here's to weekends filled with creativity, friendships, leadership, and experiences that shape lifelong memories. This is just the beginning.

In celebration of Van Mahotsav 2026, the Centre of Excellence for Sustainability, Chitkara University Himachal Pradesh, organised a Tree Plantation Drive to reaffirm the University's commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable development.

Bringing together students, faculty, and staff, the initiative saw enthusiastic participation in planting saplings across the campus—strengthening green cover while reinforcing the shared responsibility of protecting and preserving our natural environment. More than a symbolic gesture, the drive inspired participants to nurture the planted trees and embrace sustainable practices in their everyday lives.

Chitkara University College of Nursing, Himachal Pradesh, has been honoured with the 2nd Achiever Award for Excellence in Nursing Education and Training in Northern India at a prestigious ceremony held in Hyderabad.

The award was conferred by the Integrated Health & Wellbeing Council (ICC) in collaboration with the Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organizations (CAHO). It was presented by Dr. T. Dileep Kumar, President of the Indian Nursing Council, and received by Dr. Navdeep Kaur, Principal, Chitkara University College of Nursing, Himachal Pradesh.

The honour recognises the College's excellence in nursing education, quality clinical training, innovation, and the development of skilled and compassionate healthcare professionals. It marks another significant milestone in the institution's journey of advancing healthcare education and the nursing profession.

As part of the Annual Training Camp (ATC-225) at Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh, NCC cadets of 1 HP Battalion NCC, Solan, participated in an insightful Anti Substance Mission Awareness Lecture aimed at promoting a healthy, disciplined, and drug-free lifestyle.

The session was delivered by Shri Vinod Dhiman, Superintendent of Police (SP), Baddi, who highlighted the harmful effects of substance abuse and emphasized the pivotal role of youth in creating a safer and stronger society. Through meaningful interaction and valuable insights, cadets were encouraged to become responsible citizens and advocates for a drug-free nation.
