Chitkara University takes pride in the global academic engagement of Dr. Nitin Verma, Principal, Chitkara School of Pharmacy, who represented the institution at the 65th Annual Meeting of the Society of Toxicology and ToxExpo 2026 held in San Diego.

Serving as a Mentor under the Undergraduate Education Program by the Society of Toxicology, Dr. Verma actively engaged with aspiring toxicologists from across the globe. He also presented impactful research on PFAS under an ANRF-funded project, contributing to critical conversations around emerging environmental contaminants.

Further strengthening international academic ties, Dr. Verma visited the UC San Diego Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences to explore collaborative opportunities in research, student exchange, and capacity building.

Chitkaraverse: AI-Impact – Build What Matters | Advancing AI-Driven Innovation

“Chitkaraverse: AI-Impact – Build What Matters,” the flagship hackathon hosted by the ISTE Student Chapter at Chitkara University, successfully concluded its inaugural edition.

The two-day event brought together passionate student innovators, fostering a dynamic environment of creativity, collaboration, and experiential learning. Focused on AI-driven innovation and real-world problem-solving, the hackathon enabled participants to design and present impactful technological solutions.

The event began with an inspiring inaugural session led by distinguished dignitaries and industry experts, followed by an intensive 24-hour coding marathon. Participants worked in teams, guided by mentors from DigiMantra, including Bikramjit (Global Vice President), Rishab Kumar (Team Lead – Mobile Development), and Sumit Pradhan (Senior Software Engineer), whose expertise significantly shaped the outcomes.

Throughout the hackathon, teams demonstrated strong technical acumen, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. From high-intensity circuits to unbeatable determination, students pushed their limits at every stage.

In the Girls Category, Sakshi secured 1st position, followed by Sunakshi and Dimple in the Under 53 kg category, while Chetna claimed 1st place in the 53+ kg category, with Dipakshi Kaur and Simranpreet Kaur securing 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. In the Boys Category, Kartik, Ansh, and Manik emerged as winners in the Under 66 kg category; Lalit, Sudeep, and Adarsh led the Under 77 kg category; Eddam, A***n, and Paras dominated the Under 81 kg category; Subham Dagar, Harsh Dwivedi, and Chaitanya excelled in the Under 93 kg category; while Prajjwal secured 1st position in the Open Category, followed by Karan and Sunny.
