Guru Nanak College of Science, Ballarpur is not just an institution but a byword for excellence, a synonym for quality, and a signature of the best in higher education.
The College is run by the Guru Nanak Sewa Samiti, Wirur. It was the first institution to pioneer science education in this region. A center for imparting Science education was the need of the hour to local population for which noted horticulturist Sardar Ajit Singh, Founder President of Guru Nanak Seva Samitee, Wirur, took the lead in 1971. The foundation stone was laid at the hands of Shri. Indrakumar Gujral, then Minister of Information and Broadcasting on 12th November 1971.
With GNC Alumni platform, all the passed out students can reconnect with college or can share useful links or information.

The Objectives of GNC Alumni

1.To get the entire Alumni of a particular institution together
under one roof.

discussion.

We have started with the obvious reason. One of the main purposes of alumni associations is to support a network of former graduates who will, in turn, help to raise the profile of the college. Just like most other college student organizations, alumni associations aim to bring together like-minded individuals. But unlike sororities, fraternities, and other student organizations, alumni programs are open to all graduates and offer a broader networking scope. If you're heading to graduation in a couple of months or have just finished your degree, joining your school's alumni association is a good way to get a foot (or three) in the door. Contact your alumni association to see what sort of networking opportunities they offer. Some school's host job fairs. Others have mentor programs for graduates that pair outgoing students with alumni in similar career fields. And remember that with alumni associations, quality can definitely trump quantity.

Sometime quality of education is important than the infrastructure.
We have identified three drivers of change that improve, student achievement performance and learning. The first driver of change is related to supply-side elements of education systems, through the provision of additional material and human resources. The second driver of change is associated with supply-side and demand-side factors that influence behaviours, and intertemporal choices of teachers, students. The third driver of change is channelled through bottom-up and top-down participatory and community management strategies.
