THE RULES FOR TECHNICAL QUIZ ARE:

1.A team shall consist of maximum of two persons.
The decision of the quiz-master will be final and will not be subjected to any change.

2.The participants shall not be allowed to use mobile or other electronic instruments during the event.

3.Audience shall not give any hints or clues to the competitors.

4.Replacement of any participant of a team is not allowed after registration.

5. In case of more than 6 teams:
Each team would be given a set of question paper containing 25 multiple choice objective type questions.
TIME LIMIT - 15 minutes. Only 6 Teams would be selected for STAGE ROUNDS in case of tie between 2 or more teams, further 5 questions would be asked for final selection.

The selected teams shall have to appear for the final three rounds.
ROUNDS:
ROUND 1 : A question will be asked to a team and if they are unable to answer it will be passed to the next team. Answering time is only 30 seconds. Team discussion is allowed.

ROUND 2: Rapid Fire Round : -Each team will be asked 10 questions one after another in one minutes time.
10 marks for the correct answer and negative 5 marks for the wrong answer answering time is only 3 seconds team discussion is allowed. If a team cannot answer the question, they can say pass for the next question. The question will not be forwarded to the next team.
After round 2 three teams at low scores will be eliminated.

ROUND 3 – Buzzer Round or jumbled words round- A question will be fired & the team who presses the buzzer first get to answer first.

THE RULES OF PAPER PRESENTATION ARE:

1. Paper should be submitted in IEEE format within 6 to 8 pages.

2. After the paper has been accepted 10 to 12 slides of Presentation should be prepared for presenting on the event day.

3. Maximum of 10 mins is provided for presentation wherein 8 minutes is for presentation and 2 minutes is for interaction.

4.All the paper presentation should be mailed to [email protected] on or before 25th October 2015.

5. Hard copy as well as the soft copy should be submitted before 9 am on the event day.

THE RULES OF TECHNICAL DEBATE ARE:

1. There will be two teams made dividing the number of participants in two groups as per their choices to deliver FOR or AGAINST the motion.

2. One from each team will be allowed alternately to the podium to present his/her views for and against the motion.

3. Every speaker has to conclude his/her point within 4 minutes.One extra minute will be given for question and answer .

4. The speaker must advocate everything required by the topic itself. No revision of position of a team is permitted during the debate.

5.The one who asserts must prove. In order to establish an assertion, the speaker must support it with enough evidence and
logic to convince the audience as well as judges.

6.Each speaker is questioned as soon as he concludes his speech. The witness must answer the questions without consulting his colleagues.

7. In the questioning period, the questioner may ask any fair, clear question that has a direct bearing on the debate. The questioner may use the period to build up any part of his own case or to tear down any part of his opposition's case.

8. The judge must base his decision entirely on the material presented, without regard for other material which he may happen to possess.

9. Any gains made outside of the established procedure are disallowed.
