Workshop Successfully Completed!

The “Application of Qualitative Research in Nutrition – Cohort 4” workshop was successfully conducted on 12–13 March 2026 by the IIHMR Bangalore in collaboration with Mount Carmel College Bangalore, with 54 participants actively engaging in the two-day learning experience.

The workshop covered key aspects of qualitative research including Introduction to qualitative research, focused group discussions (FGDs), interview guide preparation, data coding and analysis using NVivo, thematic analysis and interpretation, and publication of qualitative research. These sessions provided participants with practical exposure to qualitative research tools and methods used in nutrition and public health research.

The program was coordinated by Dr. Jyoti Vijay. We extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Usha Manjunath for her support, Dr. Sarala R, Dean Academics, and Dr. Deepashree M R, Assistant Dean, for their insightful and engaging sessions also for facilitating the workshop.

We also express our sincere thanks to Dr. Geetha Santhosh, Head & Associate Professor, Department of Food Science and Nutrition, Mount Carmel College Bangalore, for her kind support and coordination with the students.
The workshop concluded successfully, strengthening participants’ skills in qualitative research applications in nutrition and public health.
