Exploring the Innovative Ecosystem of IISc with EntIISc: A Fascinating Journey of Learning and Discovery for Aspiring Entrepreneurs!"

On 21st April 2023, a group of students visited EntIISc, the entrepreneurial hub of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), for an enlightening experience. The visit commenced with a discussion session, where the students got a chance to interact with the experts at EntIISc and learn about the various initiatives, programs and resources available for budding entrepreneurs. The experts also shared their own experiences and provided valuable insights into the startup ecosystem.

Following the discussion, the students were taken on a tour of the entire IISc campus, where they got a chance to witness the cutting-edge research facilities and state-of-the-art infrastructure of the institute. The tour concluded with a visit to EntIISc, where the students were able to see firsthand how the center operates and facilitates innovation and entrepreneurship.

Overall, the visit to EntIISc proved to be an enriching experience for the students, who gained valuable knowledge and insights about the startup ecosystem and the role of institutions like IISc in nurturing and supporting entrepreneurship.

Youth 20 (Y20) is an official consultation forum for youth from all G20 member countries to dialogue with each other. Y20 encourages youth as future leaders to raise awareness of global issues, exchange ideas, argue, negotiate, and reach a consensus.

This year, the CII Young Indians forum with EntIISc is organizing a Y20 Summit at IISc on the 20th of April. We are delighted to invite you to participate in the Roundtable and Panel Discussions at the Summit. This Summit event will bring together young leaders from various sectors to discuss the future of business and the participatory governance model. To help guide the young leaders of India, the following esteemed dignitaries will be present at this event, along with other experts from business, governance, and leadership roles across sectors

🎉 Exciting news! 🎉

We had an incredible time today as we welcomed Mr. Ganesh Balakrishnan (.balakrishnan), the co-founder of Flatheads Shoes (), to our campus for an inspiring and insightful talk! Ganesh's heartwarming story of humility and courage truly resonated with all of us.

As an entrepreneur, he knows the struggles of keeping a company afloat and convincing investors to fund a start-up. With perseverance and innovative ideas, he created Flatheads Shoes, a contemporary and casual Indian shoe brand that uses sustainable materials.

Ganesh's appearance on 'Shark Tank India' Season 2 was also a highlight, and we were thrilled to hear more about his experience raising funds for his start-up.

The Q&A session was informative and engaging, and we loved hearing more about his entrepreneurial journey. It was a great opportunity to learn from someone who has experienced the ups and downs of entrepreneurship firsthand.

The life of an entrepreneur is not easy - from learning to keep the company afloat to convincing investors to fund the start-up. Some might even call it a brutal life till the start-up finds its footing. Ganesh Balakrishnan's heartwarming story is a story of humility and courage.

Flatheads Shoes is a contemporary & casual Indian shoe brand that makes shoes with innovative materials such as bamboo and banana fiber.

Ganesh Balakrishnan, the co-founder of Flatheads Shoes, also appeared on the fifth episode of 'Shark Tank India' Season 2 to raise funds for his start-up.
