Interact, learn and enjoy. The Open Day, celebrated on the occasion of IISc Founder's Day, is a popular event that draws a large number of students, professors, lecturers and teachers from various academic institutions in and around Bangalore, as well as the general public. Visit our Research Labs, talk with our students about their research experiences, attend speeches by scientists, learn from the interactive demos and participate in the fun events to win prizes.

After a three-year wait, the highly anticipated IISc CSA Open Day is finally upon us! The gates of IISc will be open to everyone, providing a chance to visit and explore the IISc’s research culture. We are firmly committed to providing you with the best possible experience. In addition to demonstrations, we will be holding a variety of competitions, including quiz, coding competition, network treasure hunt, speed typing, and more. We cordially invite you all to be the part of this amazing day, and please remember to mark your calendars for March 4th, 2023.

Department of Computer Science and Automation (CSA) of Indian Institute of Science (IISc) is organizing a 3-day workshop on Deep Reinforcement Learning. This workshop features the talks given by several well known researchers in this area. Workshop is from 24th march to 26th march.

We require the participants for this workshop (students outside IISc). They will be provided with various allowances as discussed on the webpage. Last date for registering - March 7, 2020.

Pouring liquid nitrogen over your CPU??? :O

Check out the AMD architects do some pretty cool stuff to overclock their CPU by cooling it to extremely low temperatures by directly pouring liquid nitrogen over it.

Fun fact: With liquid cooling you can reach up to 4Ghz. They were able to achieve 5.2Ghz with liquid nitrogen! The world record is 8.794Ghz!!
