When we think of great strategists in history, from Sun Tzu to Alexander the Great to Napoleon to Patton, we think of leaders who personify timeless principles and can think two or three moves ahead. Strategy is a singular thing; there is one strategy for a given business — not a set of strategies. It is one integrated set of choices: what is our winning aspiration; where will we play; how will we

win; what capabilities need to be in place; and what management systems must be instituted? Hence it defines the very fabric of an MBA's role in the organization. Alongside, the student community brings a lot of energy and enthusiasm, their eagerness and curiosity to learn and come up with new ideas to tackle issues in the current business scenario is both refreshing and valuable.

This quote by Jack Welch the iconic CEO of General Electric from 1981 and 2001 revolutionized the way we looked at strategy around the world and it plays a big part in how we at Paramarsh like to operate. The strategy consortium at NMIMS aptly named 'Paramarsh' has always excelled at connecting the corporate world of consulting with the academia.

'Paramarsh' provides a platform for industry experts and students to network and facilitates interaction between them. It aims to appreciate the viewpoint experts can bring through their insights, experiences & lessons learnt in the industry and also encourages students to think about real business problems. Led by the ever approachable President of Paramarsh, Arun S and the other senior members have formed a closely knit family, one that they fiercely protect. They instill a sense of comradery and togetherness that makes the club more of a family and that shows in all activities the club conducts. There is a persevering need to make Paramarsh bigger and better this year under the watchful tutelage of the senior members and of course the mentors and other well-wishers at 'Paramarsh'.

A few years back, there were very few names when it came to music streaming services. However, with the coming of Reliance Jio, the market surely changed as video and music streaming service became commonplace. The result was the launch of a lot of music streaming services. The market saw applications like Saavn, Wynk Music by Airtel and now Spotify is ruling over the audience.

JioSaavn’s music streaming app has grown enough to compete with Spotify owing to its features like lyrics, and others. The chips also fall towards Spotify in the case of pricing as well.
