🚀 SIH LaunchPad: Building Innovation Skills through Alumni Mentorship

The Department of CSBS organized SIH LaunchPad, a skill-enhancement programme aimed at preparing students for the Smart India Hackathon (SIH).

The programme focused on developing problem-solving, innovation, teamwork, technical, prototyping, and pitching skills. Students analysed real-world problem statements, explored suitable technologies, developed solution ideas, and presented their concepts.

Our alumni Mr. Radesh and Mr. Naveen, Software Engineers at Pygeniarc, shared valuable industry insights and provided mentorship and constructive feedback to help students approach hackathons with confidence.

✨ The Department of Computer Science and Business Systems successfully organized a Technical Talk on “Virtual Memory Management & Linux OS Case Study” for 3rd Semester CS & BS students.

The session provided in-depth insights into core operating system concepts, with a strong focus on Linux memory management, including the Buddy System, hardware address protection, and memory allocation strategies. Students gained conceptual clarity on page replacement algorithms such as FIFO, LRU, and Optimal, along with hands-on problem-solving discussions that strengthened their analytical and problem-solving skills.

The department sincerely thanks Dr. Rachitha M V, Associate Professor, Department of CSE, Vemana Institute of Technology, for delivering a highly informative and engaging session that effectively bridged theoretical concepts with practical understanding.

✨ Professional Readiness – A Resume Building & LinkedIn Session was successfully conducted under the Business Intelligence Club, IGNITE, for the 3rd semester students of the Computer Science & Business Systems department.

The session aimed at equipping students with essential professional skills, focusing on building effective resumes, creating a strong LinkedIn presence, and understanding early career branding. The interactive discussions helped students gain clarity on presenting their skills, projects, and achievements with confidence.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Ms. Abha, Ms. Gayana, and Ms. Gunasheela, 7th semester CS & BS students, for delivering the session with clarity, practical insights, and peer-driven guidance that made the program highly relatable and impactful.

✨ The Department of Computer Science and Business Systems, through the Cybersecurity Club – IGNITE, successfully conducted a Career Development Program for the 1st and 3rd semester CS & BS students.

The session focused on creating early awareness about career pathways, essential skills, and industry expectations, helping students gain clarity on academic planning, professional growth, and future opportunities in the technology domain. The program encouraged students to think strategically about skill development, internships, and long-term career goals.

We sincerely thank Mr. Hanumanth Reddy for delivering an engaging and insightful session. His practical perspectives, industry experience, and guidance provided valuable direction and motivation to the students as they begin shaping their professional journeys.
