Complex problems often have relatively simple solutions. Sustainability can be practised by taking some steps, literally. Calling out billionaires for using private jets needs to be backed by carpooling. Signing a petition to reduce the overall urban footprint needs to be balanced by increasing our real petrol-free footprints. Supporting Greta Thunberg’s large acts of resistance must be followed by your smaller, equally effective efforts to clean up our own cities and bring grassroots change.

At IAGI, we believe in committing to action. Activism against global warming, backed by our individual efforts, has the potential to make the world a more livable, sustainable place. Currently an assistant professor at the IA School of Management Studies, Mr Sreeranjan was once an MBA student with an engineering background. Inspired by his mother, he followed in her footsteps into the field of education. He went on to write two novels. When students of IA School Of Management Studies enrolled themselves in the X-Culture programme, the project opened the doors to multiple perspectives of the same business problem.

Grouped into teams of four, Harsh*tha, Putran, Bhoomika, and Joseph from the IASMS for the Batch of 2024, this was not merely an academic exercise but an awakening of perspective. Working alongside peers from diverse nations, our students experienced the beauty of difference and the power of unity. Each virtual meeting was a classroom without walls, each exchange a bridge across oceans. As they grappled with business challenges, negotiated cultural nuances, and co-created solutions, they learned that leadership today transcends geography; it is rooted in understanding, adaptability, and mutual respect.

On 11th October, the outgoing batch of IA School of Management Studies stepped into their campus as students, probably for the last time. The nervous freshers from two years back had now become management students brimming with confidence. Cheered on by proud faculty members, the students experienced a farewell that was equally emotional and celebratory. Ms Keerthika V was proclaimed the course topper, and Mr Mithun Gowda was awarded as ‘the Best Outgoing Student’.

The event was graced by Mr. Satish Kota, Founder and CEO of NavaTies Solutions Pvt. Ltd. His entrepreneurial journey is a testament to the very values IASMS seeks to instil in its graduates. His words of wisdom: “The world belongs not to those who follow the familiar, but to those who dare to imagine the impossible.”

The Global Immersion Program offered IASMS students the opportunity to experience business learning on a global scale. This international educational experience took them to Malaysia and Singapore, and into real-world business scenarios through industrial visits and research opportunities.
