Dr.HNNational College of Engineering, in association with Jayanagar Police Station, Bengaluru City Police, conducted an Anti-Drug & Anti-Ragging Awareness Programme on 18th August 2026.

The programme sensitised students on the harmful effects and legal consequences of drug abuse and ragging, encouraging them to make responsible choices and uphold a safe, respectful and ragging-free campus.

Celebrating the Spirit of Freedom – 80th Independence Day 🇮🇳

Dr.HN National College of Engineering, Jayanagar, Bengaluru, along with The National PU College and The National Degree College celebrated the 80th Independence Day on 15th August 2026at Jayanagar campus with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm.

The celebrations commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the National Anthem and an impressive NCC parade, showcasing discipline, dedication and national pride. The event was graced by distinguished dignitaries Dr.Vijaya Simha Reddy BG, Former Principal, Vemana College of Engineering, Bangalore, Lt. Shreyas G R, Esteemed NCJ Alumnus , Lieutenant , NCC of India, members of the NES management, faculty, staff and students.

The occasion was a wonderful reminder of our responsibility as citizens to uphold the values of freedom, unity, integrity and service, while empowering the youth to contribute towards a Viksit Bharat.
A special highlight of the celebration was the motivating impromptu address by Lt. Shreyas G. R, our pride. Drawing from his own journey as an NCJ cadet, he inspired the students to believe in themselves, never doubt their abilities, be responsible citizens and remain patriotic towards the nation. Recalling his college days, he expressed his gratitude to his teachers and institution, acknowledging that whatever he is today is largely because of the values, education and guidance he received from his college and teachers.

The session was led by Prof. Shruthi B, Assistant Professor, ECE, who shared valuable insights into the role of Artificial Intelligence in advancing women-centric healthcare technologies and its potential to enhance health awareness, accessibility and well-being.
The event provided an engaging platform to discuss the intersection of AI, technology and women’s health, encouraging them to understand and leverage emerging technologies for meaningful societal impact.

Dr. H. N. National College of Engineering, Bengaluru, is delighted to commemorate the **National Education Policy (NEP) Anniversary** and celebrate the auspicious occasion of **Guru Poornima**—honouring the timeless bond between teachers and learners and the transformative power of education.

As part of the celebrations, the **Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC)** organised an insightful talk on **National Education Policy**, delivered by **Dr. S. B. Bhanu Prashanth, Professor and Dean, BMSCE, Bengaluru**, on **29 July 2026** at the Multimedia Hall, Dr. HNNCE. The Principal, Faculty members & Staff of Dr HNNCE participated in the event.

✨ AAROHA 2026 – A Grand Farewell | A Rise of Memories, A Future of Dreams 🎓

The Department of PG Studies, Dr. H. N. National College of Engineering, Bengaluru, successfully organized AAROHA 2026, a memorable farewell for the outgoing MBA & MCA Batch (2024–26).

The event was graced by Sri V. Venkatasiva Reddy, Hon. Secretary, NES of Karnataka, along with the Principal, Members of the NES Management, Deans, Heads of Departments, faculty, staff, students, and parents.

Adding to the celebration, the junior batch students expressed their affection and gratitude through vibrant cultural performances, fun-filled games, and interactive activities, creating unforgettable moments for their seniors.

🧘‍♀️🌿 Celebrating International Yoga Day 2026 🌿🧘‍♂️

Dr. H. N. National College of Engineering, in association with National College, Basavanagudi, and Sri Patanjali Yoga Shikshana Samithi, Karnataka, proudly celebrated the 12th International Yoga Day on 22 June 2026.

The event commenced with a collective prayer and an enlightening introduction to yoga, followed by guided yoga practice sessions in which the Principal , Faculty, Staff & Students of Dr.HNNCE participated enthusiastically.

The celebration also featured inspiring addresses by distinguished guests and dignitaries, highlighting the significance of incorporating yoga into daily life for holistic development and stress management.
