Karnataka Civil Defence Corps , BMSCE Institutional division.
For the first time ever in India, a civil defence corps branch is introduced in an engineering college, with the sole purpose for all of you there to serve the nation and do your bit to the society. Where your deeds are certified by the Government of India and recognised globally.


PRAKRUTHI,The Nature Club of BMSCE is the most youngest club of the college which intends to brings together like-minded students and faculty members who wish to preserve the world around us. Many of our club activities focus on raising awareness on environmental issues and taking measure from the engineering point of view. Other activities include recycling projects, wildlife and habitat restoration, animal rescue, gardening, forestry both on and off the campus. We are always looking forward for active and dedicated environmentalists to join hands with us. Anyone with an open mind, a desire to learn and a commitment for protecting nature is welcome to explore the many benefits this club offers.

The Seed Ball making and rolling programme was organised on 26th April 2017 by the division under the banner of 'Prakruthi' (The Nature Team of BMSCE CDC) and in colloboration with an NGO called Uttistha Bharatha.
3,327 seed balls were made by the participants during the programme.
These balls contain seed of Jackfruit, Pongamia, Babool, etc. which will be throw in barren lands and hills before rainy seasons.

1 Warden and 3 Volunteers of our division participated in the Mock aviation emergency drill "Challenger - 17" conducted by the Kempe Gowda International Airport, Bangalore.
The mock drill was enacted to verify alertness and preparedness to handle interference / emergencies to civil aviation operations at the Bangalore airport.

The Warden/Volunteers who participated were,

Three Wardens/Volunteers of our division participated in the one day Training of Trainer programme on CPR -
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
The programme was conducted as part of the campaing "Heart Rescue - India" by the University of Illinois, Chicago and Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore.
During this programme, the wardens underwent hands-on skills training to prepare themselves on how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies. They also taught the skills and knowledge needed to provide care for victims of sudden cardiac arrest through the safe use of an automated external defibrillator and Modern equipment.
