Polymage Labs, an IISc-incubated startup from CSA faculty Prof. Uday Kumar Reddy B, had an exhibit at the HiPEAC 2026 conference in Poland, which was covered by EE Times. In this interview, Prof. Reddy explains the vital role of compilers for AI chips and of the PolyBlocks technology they have built.

My research interests are in the design of new compiler technologies for high-performance artificial intelligence (AI) systems. Computational domains of particular interest to me include AI, stencil computations, image processing pipelines, dense linear algebra, and deep learning.
