NSS Special Camp Begins at Nallahalli Village by K. S. Institute of Technology
A seven-day NSS Special Camp titled “Samanvaya – Vibhinna Dhwanigala Abhivruddiya Kalpane” organized by K S Institute of Technology, Raghuvanahalli, Bengaluru, commenced successfully at Nallahalli village, Uyamballi Hobli, Kanakapura Taluk, Bengaluru South District with various social service and cultural activities.
The first day of the camp began with NSS Flag Hoisting conducted by Smt. Bhagyamma and Sri Shivaraju, President of Nallahalli Gram Panchayat. The responsibility of organizing the flag hoisting ceremony was given to the Kitturu Rani Chennamma Team, which managed the event in a disciplined manner.
Following the flag hoisting, a large-scale Shramadhana activity was organized under the leadership of the Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna Team. From 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM, NSS volunteers actively participated in cleaning village drainage systems, collecting plastic waste, and spreading awareness among villagers about cleanliness and environmental protection. The volunteers dedicated nearly four hours of service to the nation through these activities.
After the Shramadhana, fun and team-building activities were conducted for the volunteers by the same team. Later, the Kuvempu Kitchen Team served delicious meals to all the participants. Volunteers then continued preparations and practice sessions for the evening cultural programs.
The evening session began with the Flag De-hosting Ceremony at around 5:30 PM, which was carried out by chief guest Sri N. C. Sunil Kumar, former Vice President of Nallahalli.
Cultural programs were held from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM. The stage decoration responsibility was handled by Team Vivekananda, which beautifully showcased a Kannada cultural theme. The anchoring responsibility was managed by the Vishveshvaraya Team, which entertained the audience with an “Old Cinema Stars” themed presentation and energetic hosting.
During the cultural program, free distribution of books, school bags, and stationery items was carried out for the students of the Government School in Nallahalli village. The initiative was appreciated by villagers and guests alike.
