Council for International Relations and International Law, NLSIU

Council for International Relations and International Law, NLSIU NLSMUN 2016 was a national level Model United Nations conference that saw participation by over 120 delegates from various parts of the country.

The event was organized by the National Law School MUN Board from April 8th-10th, 2016, and saw the simulation of the World Health Organization, United Nations General Assembly – Committee On the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space, United Nations Security Council, and the All India Parties Meet. Throughout the duration of the event, delegates in the various committees discussed and passed resolutions on

issues of international and national importance, including inter alia, the Crimean Crisis, the Ebola outbreak, and others. The delegates and their faculty advisors were accommodated on the college campus, and the overall feedback of the delegates and faculty was the conference was well organized and the quality of debate, along with the Executive Board was very high. The Executive Board comprised of established MUNers from different institutions, including NLSIU itself, along with the NALSAR University of Law, Christ University, and others.

We would like to thank everyone who played a role in making our first event of the year event a grand success! The CIRIL-IPCS Symposium provided a platform for debate, discussion and engagement on a diverse range of issues relating to international law and foreign affairs.

But now that this conference is over, we would like to carry forward the discussion that it has started.

To this end, we are proud to announce the launch of our brand-new blog, ‘The Envoy’. Through this blog, we aim to achieve our primary agenda of raising awareness and promoting an analytical discourse on international law and international affairs. Please follow this space for regular updates!

"With the highest number of users of American technology offerings and a high number of user data requests, second only to the U.S., India is a clear contender for a partnership under the CLOUD Act.
